If we did somehow get Origi in, it has a massive whiff of cult hero about it. Like previous loans (Henderson, Halford, Brayford) and I don't think he'd have to score many to secure it. Liverpool fans seemed to love him and he's a big fella, something I feel we need up top.

The more I think about it, if him and archer come in it's hard to argue that we aren't stronger now than when the window opened! Which was inconceivable two weeks ago!

He admitted he can’t give a figure but it helps us negotiate if the media say we’re skint, so he was keen to publicly downplay our ambition.
The bottom line was wait until 1st Sent and we should be very competitive, much better than last seasons promotion team.

It was only inconceivable if you’re paranoid enough to presume the Prince must be lying
or paranoid enough to think the Prince hates us and deliberately wants his club to be relegated so his asset loses its valuation.

However I still don’t think we’re anywhere good enough to stay up and need to make some more high quality signings.
However ive no doubts they’ll be a few more joining us soon. Might even need to wait until deadline day.

Agreed… if we were adding these players on top of Illy and Sander then we would be eyeing mid-table … hard to argue we are stronger at this point
