think cover for egan is an area lots have forgotten about most talk on here is cover for basham and robinson which we do need and apart from our full backs playing in the back 3 we probably need 3 new centre backs in if we continue to play a back 3
Ideally the lads brought in at LCB and RCB should be able to cover the middle especially as those spots will be less specialised now that wilder and their overlapping requirement has gone.

Jesus Christ I swear it's the same bedwetters every TW when we haven't signed about 10 players within days of the TW opening.

Most likely the same ones who were wetting the bed when our manager search was going on and look how that ended up.

Just chill out. I actually like the fact hardly anything gets leaked out of the club anymore.

Think that was due to him wanting to get seriki on the pitch and also not having 3 junior centrebacks in Spain so baldock went in there
It was also against a bottom half team from the Gibraltarian league. Hardly a comparative level.

Baldock played there for Hecky when Bash was injured f course, but I'd rather him as wing back and sign a taller and younger alternative to Bash.

Played there for wilder as well against Brighton but it was very much emergency stop gap situations like jags going in net it was fun to see but wasn’t something you’d want to see every week.

no it isnt yogi but it is an option in any emergency however if were going to play 343 its going to be baldock v bogle for the rwb role which actually can only be good for us

Yeah it’s a great fallback option and a testament to baldocks defensive abilities that to some extent he can compensate for being incredibly short to play centreback and still do it at the top level in a pinch.

In terms of the 3-4-3 we could really see bogle/seriki emerge as pivotal players within it as it suits them down to the ground very much like how the 5-3-2 suited bash and gave him the platform to become one of the squads most influential players. I say that because both seriki and bogle have played wide in a front 3 as kids and then as wingbacks as they turned pro. That should give them the flexibility to play anywhere up the right flank and even on the left of a front 3 if we want them cutting inside. If you wanted to you could conceivably play all 3 of bogle, seriki and baldock in one side without playing any out of position.

yeah could be a very interesting right side what do you think about this tommy doyle from city ? watched a few clips and he looks like he could just be the player were looking for in midfield pace and energy 10 clubs after him but we must have a chance pep likes us lol

I’d really like him bring him in and I think we’d be relatively set in midfield if the interest in viera is real then we’d definitely be set. Couple of centrebacks and I’d be happy.

Worth mentioning Baldock is very similar in height to Walker who plays as the right centre back for England when we’re out of possession.

Yeah but right now walker is probably head and shoulders the best right back in the world (surreal to say that about a lad from Sheffield) so he’s in his own category for me.

If he carries on with this three up top with two wide men option then we really do need much at all.

If we keep Berge then you’ve got:

Freeman/ Osborn / Fleck / Norwood / Berge in CM

Stevens / RND could cover LCB

If anything we probably need another winger
Harvey elliott on loan - hopefully slav has some leverage from his time at fulham

Quite possible that Kyron Gordon will be one of those.

think if we had wanted sanderson we could have got him but think our priority is at anfield now that ben davies looks as though hes available

I reckon if he was available for a permanent transfer then I think we would have gone all in for the lad. As it is, hes just signed a 4 year contract with Wolves and they see him as their long term asset. Suddenly his signature didnt look so appealing to Utd as why would we make him a better player for Wolves who would just recall him back in 9 months? He's hardly the finished article now.

For a loan signing, I understand why Utd didn't move for him and Brum are welcome to that little project. There are plenty of others out there who are either more of a finished article or players who we can probably get on a permanent.

I suspect Birmingham would be in poll position, especially given the geography.
