Had his chance today and I was dissappointed. Thought his movement was poor and his dive within 5 minutes of comin on was embarrassing.

He made a couple of first touches but he isn't that quick. If we are going to giv ehim a go he needs to play behind a striker I reckon. Porter and DG on Wednesday ?

Have to ask whether he will be sold this Jan or wait for compo as I can't see him hanging around BL much longer

Only the Daily Star, but as mentioned above, Sunderland have been watching him at York and we know of interest from Italy before his serious injury, well that seems to have resurfaced with Juve, Roma and Napoli all supposedly after him

He had 25 mins which is hardly a few minutes>. He went to ground in the penalty area when a defender got close to him when he could have stayed on his feet and played the ball out to Murphy. To my mind that is diving.

Doom and Gloom ? I'm just not a Diego hero worshipper like some are. If any player does well,I'll praise them,if they are poor (e.g. JCR yesterday) I wil say so.

It happens at every club in the league i can name 2 cases at ours recently

I thought he did well to stay on his feet in the first place then got knocked down. Penalty for me. The doom and gloom (I should have made clear) was more a general statement. For me we don't need to sign a striker just allow one of the 4/5 potential strikers we have to form a partnership with Baxter and I reckon we'll be fine. Baxter and McNulty linked well away at Peterborough and I'd like to see more of that with them being given a run of games.

I will be surprised if he signs a new deal with us.

If he does sign a new deal then it proves something has changed at the club but if we let him go in the window or his contract run out then it will prove nothing at the club has changed.

any manager in charge of the club has to make a decision.You can't slate a club for letting any player go if the manager doesn't think they are good enough.

From what you have seen so far,is DG good enough ? He's given Reed a chance and he certainly does so its not a case he's not given the kids a chance (as he did with Dimao last season)

There is definitely a novelty factor in here somewhere , with his father , agent all believing , and buying in to the free publicity and PR. I hope he does make it with the Blades , but Mr Clough seems to have a eye for a young player , and is playing slowly slowly catch a monkey with him. The kid is only young and would be better off learning his trade at the Lane . Unfortunately he will go for the money , as many teams can afford to take a punt on him , and not feel the hurt if he doesn't make it.

He'll be off if he's got any sense, why play in division 3 if clubs in higher/better divisions want you. This board have zero ambition and we won't get out this division without proper support for Clough.
