He did alright and didn't dive. Step out of the doom and gloom.Had his chance today and I was dissappointed. Thought his movement was poor and his dive within 5 minutes of comin on was embarrassing.
He made a couple of first touches but he isn't that quick. If we are going to giv ehim a go he needs to play behind a striker I reckon. Porter and DG on Wednesday ?
Sunderland were scouting him at York apparently.
where did he play wing? striker? 10?Had his chance today and I was dissappointed. Thought his movement was poor and his dive within 5 minutes of comin on was embarrassing.

Contract up this summer
Have to ask whether he will be sold this Jan or wait for compo as I can't see him hanging around BL much longer
Only the Daily Star, but as mentioned above, Sunderland have been watching him at York and we know of interest from Italy before his serious injury, well that seems to have resurfaced with Juve, Roma and Napoli all supposedly after him

Think the lad had his mind made up a long time ago ,where he was going next season
hence the fall out with narky nigel
strikerwhere did he play wing? striker? 10?
He had 25 mins which is hardly a few minutes>. He went to ground in the penalty area when a defender got close to him when he could have stayed on his feet and played the ball out to Murphy. To my mind that is diving. He did alright and didn't dive. Step out of the doom and gloom.
He didn't even really have his chance. A few minutes up top on your own can hardly count.
No , i mean his agent will have turned his head and told him whats on offer
maybe he has gone to clough with a play me or im off ultimatum and clough has got the face on
Im assuming this happened pre injury wjen there were rumours of a fall out
This has to be the flakiest excuse to knock Utd yet ,what depths are we actually going to plummet to ?
Maybe McCabe has spent all his money on Peruvian prostitutes so we cant buy a striker
Maybe Clough has a clause where he must win without playing a striker
Maybe Baxter has been shagging McCabes in laws
Maybe Collins has had a 3some with Butler and Long
Maybe posters on here are finding ridiculous ways of slagging their own club off ?
Maybe only one of these is true.
Wtf are you talking about ? You sound like an 8 yr oldThis has to be the flakiest excuse to knock Utd yet ,what depths are we actually going to plummet to ?

I personally dont give a shit if diego stays or goes but there were very strong rumours that they fell out before his injury
Lets see where hes playing next season or who he signs for in january and see whos making flaky excuses then
'maybe he has gone to clough with a play me or im off ultimatum and clough has got the face on'
and I sound like an 8 year old ?
I'd not be very impressed if my 8 year old wrote as badly as that!

So that doesnt happen in profesional football ?'maybe he has gone to clough with a play me or im off ultimatum and clough has got the face on'

I thought he did well to stay on his feet in the first place then got knocked down. Penalty for me. The doom and gloom (I should have made clear) was more a general statement. For me we don't need to sign a striker just allow one of the 4/5 potential strikers we have to form a partnership with Baxter and I reckon we'll be fine. Baxter and McNulty linked well away at Peterborough and I'd like to see more of that with them being given a run of games. He had 25 mins which is hardly a few minutes>. He went to ground in the penalty area when a defender got close to him when he could have stayed on his feet and played the ball out to Murphy. To my mind that is diving.
Doom and Gloom ? I'm just not a Diego hero worshipper like some are. If any player does well,I'll praise them,if they are poor (e.g. JCR yesterday) I wil say so.
We weren't negative yesterday but we are desperate for a fit striker
Yes thats it he fell out with clough when wilson was managerHis cruciate? That happened under Wilson.
Yes thats it he fell out with clough when wilson was manager
Went all the way down to derby to bang on cloughs door
Suppose they will be able to laugh about it one day

what about if the manager doesn't think he is good enough and the club let him go ?I will be surprised if he signs a new deal with us.
If he does sign a new deal then it proves something has changed at the club but if we let him go in the window or his contract run out then it will prove nothing at the club has changed.

In Clough we trust eh?
Struggle to buy this. So you deliberately fall out with the manager to further your career? Risky strategy that normally ends up with spending your career at Mansfield or the like.
Bladesway is correct . What i cannot understand is that all the hype about the player has not come out of the club ., Even before his injury ( which was a bad one ) , he did not show the promise of being one of Europe's most talented youngsters , as reported in the press . Even La Gazzetta Dello Sport run a article on him .
He has been rated along side Lewis Holtby of Schalke (at the time ) due to Germany / England choice of national country. There is definitely a novelty factor in here somewhere , with his father , agent all believing , and buying in to the free publicity and PR. I hope he does make it with the Blades , but Mr Clough seems to have a eye for a young player , and is playing slowly slowly catch a monkey with him. The kid is only young and would be better off learning his trade at the Lane . Unfortunately he will go for the money , as many teams can afford to take a punt on him , and not feel the hurt if he doesn't make it.
Jordon Slew and many others come into mind .
Mr Clough was a forward / Striker . The young man could learn a lot . It is whether or not he wants to learn or thinks ( as his advisors ) he is already there.
Good luck to the lad.

What? Why does he need backing to Bring diego on? Hes already at the club. How can you try and blame the board if Clough doesn't rate diego.... This board at time honestly beggars belief......He'll be off if he's got any sense, why play in division 3 if clubs in higher/better divisions want you. This board have zero ambition and we won't get out this division without proper support for Clough. I believe NC is the man to take us forward and bring someone like Diego on but he has no chance without full backing.
