When will they kick in for everyone?

At the moment its nothing more than upcoming fixture on the radar, but the nerves will start the week before the match, and steadily get worse right through the week, until its Sunday morning, i'm up earlier than maybe i would be, pacing around just wanting to get round, wishing, hoping and praying for a win.

I haven't got nerves as such, but..........
I can just imagine Sheffield Wham, bang, thankyou ma'am nicking a couple of goals that matter if we leave our shooting boots in the dressing room.

i friggin hate derby matches,i dont enjoy them at all,i always bite my finger nails down to the point of bleeding and utmost throbbing

I hate derbies too. I can only enjoy it when it's over & we've won or, depending on the circumstances, drawn. Much better being a division or two above them!

And we wont be able to go back above them if they beat Chezzy

Plus 1,
I am already getting worked up about it, just hate the thought of losing, a draw unless we come from 3 nil down would seem like a defeat, just don't enjoy these matches until its over and we have won.
My worst memory, my newly married wife, who had and still has no interest in football, stood at the window holding a swine scarf above her head, as I returned home from the infamous Boxing day match. She had borrowed it from a neighbour, still don't know why I didn't divorce her..........

>still don't know why I didn't divorce her
don't know why you didn't stab her mate :D .. hold on 'no interest in football'..aah there you go poorly executed bit of 'fun' then. women them days didn't get it (different story now though).. or perhaps she's just a 'nice lass' :p

Nerves started as soon as I realised that it's our next league game. Just hoping that we're well rested and straining at the leash to get out there and play football.
Love the atmosphere at derby games, but always dread the final result. Have cried before after losing, but only the once (you can guess which one).
Tidza juniors first derby though, hopefully he'll bring us some luck, and a 3 goal victory!!

Dreading it now. Was looking forward to it until last week. Maybe it will be the kickstart we need to get back on track.

Maybe we will stuff them 4-0 like they did to us in '79?

At the time we were top of the league and they were something like 4th.
We were confident but caught a major cold.
Finished that season mid table whilst the Pigs went up in third just in front of Chessy.

I think it's worse this season because Gary "The Slanderer" Megson is in charge.
The thought of losing to the pigs at home is bad enough but the prospect of seeing a smug-faced Smegson on the sideline makes me a bit queasy.

Quietly confident. Dont read too much into their recent run, they're not a good side.

That's not to say we are either but I dont think there is much between us.

Lets see how their players cope with being the favourites inside a cauldron.

Winning at home and at places like Hartlepool doesnt give a full reflection as we know ourselves.

We have the edge being the home side but oddly I feel like there is more pressure on them.
