The management team and the players are magnificent. The club (owners/directors) are shit
The management team and the players is the club to most of us. If you don't like the owners, say 'the owners' . Despite everything said about the ownwera, we are back in the Prem, with a great chance of future success.
If you want to point out a club that has the things you are hoping for, I'd be interested what we should be hoping for.
In the meantime, I'd try to forget looking for things to complain about and enjoy the good times, they are precious.

This is boring now. The board was much nicer place without your bilge

You’d maybe have some scope to complain when we aren’t talking about a window we’ve already broken our transfer record 3 times with potential for a 4th time.

Why not judge them on what they are doing now rather than on the past. You’ve got fuck all to complain about over the last 3 season.

Apart from DH's return, the best part of this is that Wilder now has a season in which to locate a quality keeper we'll need next season. Must admit, a real sense of relief re. DH's confirmation, let's hope the defence maintains the standards that got us over the line last season.

Give over, like everyone else on this board, your hooked. You cant wait to read Topplayers posts to see what he's gonna say next
You love it, I am the entertainer, I bring the board to life
I just come across your posts from time to time. You’re always a negative. Then you’ve gone again.

You’re nothing more than the S2 4SU equivalent of a fart in a lift.

we'eres thread gone
THREADS MERGED
in hindsight I'll be greatful, my in my head hilarious joke actually didn't transfer well to the forum and potentially could've got me int trouble.

I'm not complaining about anything that Wilder, Knill and the players have done, but if you dont think our boardroom is shit then that's up to you.

They are shit IMO and just because we're in the lofty heights of the Premier League doesn't change it.

It's all been about Wilder, Knill and the players and fuck all to do with them

Wilder has performed miracles regardless of being backed pitifully, our past managers couldnt do the job under the same restrictions. But Wilder has been given nothing more than they were given.

So it is nothing to do with a boardroom that couldn't even get us out of League One and everything to do with Wilder and his team.

The same miracles now have to be performed again, but there's one problem, Wilder is ambitious and he won't think twice about pissing off if he feels he's gone as far as he can with us.
£22 million invested as a Premier League club with two weeks to go before kick off is pitiful and is just asking for trouble

Nice entertaining post with some humour there alco
Not quite as entertaining as me, but I am fairly unique to be fair

How much should he have spent, and on who?
Should the club have done a Fulham?
When will you actually be happy about the situation at BDTBL? Because it's gonna be a while until we have Man City type funding.

I agree the board could have done more ( a lot more ) previously. I feel like wilder has been backed so far - we’ve signed more than plenty of PL clubs.

We’ve spent £22m so far....

  • We are close to c£3m fee for osborn
  • we are close to a substantial spend on Henderson (say £3m inc wages)
  • we are rumoured to be after £17m rated Mcburnie.

That would push the spend past £45million. I don’t think you could argue that’s trying to do the PL on the cheap.

Even if we go down the spine of the squad has been replaced with young players who could be here for years yet. Imo they are doing exactly what’s required so far

Not my job to know who to buy and what to spend
But £22 million is pitiful for a newly promoted club

They might all turn out to be worldbeaters but it doesn't change the fact that the boardroom is willing to risk pissing it all away with their lack of investment and lack of bolox to get deals completed with sufficient time to gel a team

Have you ever wondered why, as good as Wilder is that we've never had a good start to a season.
It's because we've never had our actual team in place at the start of the season due to our boardroom fucking about

So, you don't actually know what you want, you just don't like the way things are, and like very much going on and on about it?

Yes mate, if those deals come off I'll happily say that Wilder has been backed as well as the boardroom could possibly back him

But McBurnie won't happen, another club will become involved, and then it's all over

We can sign whoever we want, just as long as nobody else is interested

Weren't Norwich interested in Callum Robinson? We still managed to sign him....

Even if someone did blink - why does it matter?

Well obviously one or both sides did blink considering the gap that was rumoured at the start of the week has been bridged. It matters because I'm interested in how the club conducted its negotiations.

We can wait and see - most deals will happen in the last week or so anyway - even though everyone wants them done sooner.

Look how late we had to wait for Norwood etc. Even the likes of madine and hogan took weeks to conclude.

They are complex deals to negotiate and clubs like to play hard ball - we have to wait so we don’t get ripped off.

I genuinely don’t think wilder would let £17m sit there if mcburnie goes elsewhere- he will have other irons in the fire - we just need to be patient

Yes, Norwood came in the loan market after the permanent transfer window shut
And there's January as well to consider where Wilder should know exactly what we're short of
