He's still got too many ricks in his game to replace DDG, so its a sound idea for us and manure get a top keeper with the errors sorted . Gives more time for Verrips or Eastwood to come through as well.
Imagine saying this when DDG doesnt know how to catch, punch or defend his front post.

Manchester United have announced the signing of Nathan Bishop from Southend on a two-and-a-half-year deal

Sadly I don't think a third loan for Dean will be happening, reason being that as of this moment we are actually in direct competition with Mancester United in the league.

Made a rod for our own back there didn't we...

I have said it before but there was apparently a clause in the loan deal of an option to buy for £20m at the end of the season.
Well if there was, he’ll be signed. The Prince ain’t fucking about so if this is true it’s a done deal.

I’m not sure Man Utd would be that stupid even by their standards. Ed Woodward would actually die

I wouldn't be surprised if the issue with that rumoured £20m option comes from Henderson still fancying his chance at taking De Gea's place at Man U. Even if that clause exists and we activated it there's no guarantees that he's ready to give up on his dream of becoming their #1.

We've just got to hope we've made enough of an impression for him to realise that a permanent move here would be a smart one as long as Chris is at the helm. The signings of Berge permanently and Retsos with a view to a permanent must've made a few people take notice when you consider their reputations in world football.

After our January dealings I'll know better than to rule anything out for next season. What a time to be a Blade.

Every goalie makes ricks - it's the unforgiving nature of the position. However - including Palace - Hendo has kept nine clean sheets this season, more than any other PL 'keeper.

Right now Wilder is right to say that the fee to buy is too high for us. But football changes and as we progress it changes again and again.

If we make 4th place and Champions League and Man U don’t qualify again, Man U will lose money on their Main sponsorship deals with Chevy and a few of their others because they have clauses for reduced sponsorship if they are not in the champions league for 2 seasons

Ole is rebuilding and will need to shift more players on to balance his books. Will Hendo be transfer listed? No, but they may look to sell fringe players...

This has never been backed up by anybody within the club & when Wilder was asked about Henderson recently he said words to the effect of "his future is with Man Utd. If we can get him for another season though, great. We're looking into it." the £20m option thing is nonsense.

It was quoted in court by club officials

It wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea were in for him in the Summer.

Rumoured to be wanting a keeper, Frank likes his young english players.... seems nailed on interest to me.

No way that Man U would let him go to a rival like that
Though we may be one next year 😎

Agree with this.
Remember Man Utd are the drivers in this.....they just want him to develope as much as possible.
That means playing every match at a PL club but not for a rival....so there’s no way Man Utd will let him go to Chelsea.

Also he’s lives in the Manchester area.....so it’s convenient if his loan club is relatively local.
I suppose the only potential clubs he could go to on loan are Sheff Utd, Burnley or one of the promoted clubs (Leeds or Forest).
Looks like we will be hot favourites to have Henderson on loan next season too.

Wanting Pope allegedly. The keeper, not the guy with the big hat and stick. He's English, 27 which isn't old for a keeper.

Maybe an everton or a wolves or abroad but i wouldn't be surprised if we managed to keep him for a few more years.

Didnt realise that he was still so young , hed easily be there NO2 but he clearly doesnt want that.

According to BBC rumours (from this morning's Sun though!!) Man U are expecting both Romero and third choice Grant to leave in the Summer.

And put a £30m price tag on Hendo!???
Seems strange if they're thinking they might lose the other 2!???
Anyway, get the cheque book out Princey, let's not fuck about!

I'm interested to see what happens with Hendo this summer. Not sure I believe the latest stories suggesting he's 'demanded' a starting spot at Man U. Imagine if he 'demanded' anything off Wilder!! Haha... And gone!
I can believe that he said he'd rather play here than sit on the bench and that's been twisted by the journo for the story. That of course does make sense for his career. I'd personally like to read a piece stating that Hendo has a desire to play and commit to us. Until then I believe all we can hope for is another year on loan.
Maybe we should start playing hardball with both the player and Man U. Find out exactly what Hendo wants for starters. But also as it stands we're doing Man U a massive favour. We are developing their keeper at an alarming rate and paying for that privilege! Hendos stock is rising cos he's becoming better playing for us week in week out and will now surely be pushing Pickford for the England shirt. If he goes back to Man U then his development stops right there, cos there's no way Man U are paying DeGea 300k a week to sit on the bench.
I think some sort of compromise has to be reached. And personally I think we hold more aces than some would have us believe.

At the moment the current arrangement works for all parties concerned.

Yes each season we are paying a loan fee to MUFC and we are in away developing the lad on their behalf. However it works for us too in that we get the lads services, he early cares about the club and has the right attitude, and we has newbies to the Prem party get to spend the money it would potentially take to get him permanent, on other players. For example, would the three lads who have just signed be here now, if we had spent that money on Hendo? Probably not.

So at the moment borrowing him makes complete sense. I wouldn't be against it next season either as we have a lot of expenditure to commit to in the next 12 months. Buying of club assets from McCabes companies, trying to up grade training facilities and potentially buying a new site, bringing me contracts up to Premier League standard for existing players, and then probably further investment in the team.

There's a lot of money there that we as a club need to find. At the moment, even if Hendo was happy to sign for us and MUFC were willing to do business at a reasonable price, we probably just cannot afford him.

Get him next season on loan again, then see how things are placed in the summer of 2021. Hopefully we will be a lot better place to bring him in permanently if the stars align.

Fair point...we do hold a lot of aces but.........Man Utd hold more aces...if we refuse them sure some other club will want a top level goalie on loan.
We can only play hard ball if we have a serious alternative lined up.
Suspect Man Utd will want to increase the loan fee next season....so Henderson will be expensive to loan.
We might decide to buy someone like Aaron Ramsdale outright..if AFB are relegated.
Wilder knows Ramsdale and it wouldn’t surprise me if United have already sounded him out and checked out his contract situation.

Theres literally no way that they'd sell henderson for £30 million best young english goalkeeper and probably the best in Europe

Jordan pickford went for 50/60 Million and that Kepa went for 70/80 Million

I dunno where people get these stories from 😅😅😅

The problem Man U have though is that they fully committed to DeGea with his astronomical contract.
Can you ask for 30mil for a player sat on the bench for a season. As Sheffsteel said he'd have to go out on loan again.
I'd love to see him at the lane for as long as possible, of course I would, but I'm concerned that we just seeing ourselves off.
I could be wrong but I don't think Hendo himself would want to go anywhere else on loan now his career has taken off. That could be the bit of leverage that works in our favour.

Surely the Prince isn’t going to just send £40m via BACS to McCabe from the clubs account? The same goes for the training ground, wouldn’t be a cash deal, would it?

For assets like land, hotels etc. wouldn’t we get a loan/mortgage and pay it off over 10-20 years?

Sitting on the bench is no good if he’s pushing for an England shirt. Some big decisions by all 3 parties this summer. They won’t drop De Gea and other than PSG who will pay those wages for him?
