All gone quiet on this then.

Given Adkins said only yesterday that no deal will be done before the next two games are out of the way, not very surprising. I think it's clear we're now waiting to ensure the maximum loan period covers the Christmas fixtures – which is completely sensible in my opinion.

Patience.

Exactly. Adkins is in no hurry for players and I think he will want any new players to be with us over Christmas.

Hopefully to be agreed with the option for permanent signing on 1st January if they're any good ....... rather than waiting for the end of the window in February like usually happens !!

Yes but we could sign 4 on 1st Jan and it would still be meltdown if we didn't sign anyone on 31st

HAMMOND SET FOR LOAN

Leicester midfielder Dean Hammond could be sent out on loan after falling down the pecking order, writes the Leicester Mercury.

Hammond has made just one appearance this season, in the Capital One Cup win against Bury, and the paper says Sheffield United are among several Football League clubs interested in a loan deal.

That said if several clubs are interested I fear we will be well down the pecking order vs Championship clubs

Hmmn - looks like he'll go to one of the Championship clubs then - would want to play in as high a standard as he can at this stage of his career

Missing out again? .... standard for us in this division, I guess.

Well we are in talks according to O'Rourke from Sky Sports and he's normally spot on. That being said we were in talks a couple of weeks ago as well.

Fingers crossed I suppose.

What a crock of shit
Sick of other blades on here and across social media coming out with this shit

If we lose people get pissed off ,if we win people are happy

If we sign players people think will get ud promoted people get excited if we dont people get pissed off

5 years of people pedalling this meltdown ,over reaction shit and look where we are

An overreaction would be to burn the stadium to the ground and kill the owners and even then it wouldnt be tottaly unjustified

Utter twaddle. There would be a meltdown if we didn't sign players we needed, like the transfer window just closed with no CM and CB added. It's ok, because Adkins says he has faith that Branigan did everything he could and has no reason to doubt it. So why mention it...

Today.....ah, today.....so much better than yesterday...far more promise.....far closer to the future.....and with that childlike chant ringing clearly in your shell-like...

"Are we there yet, are we there yet...are we?"

Tomorrow's star reporting out interest in Hammond and burn.

The star eventually printing a story like this usually means something is about to happen.

Blimey, this thread was started in 2008 - longest ever rumour?

I've spoken to a Leicester City season ticket holder who say that he's good enough to be in their side now so I'd be amazed if he drops 2 divisions. Apparently he doesn't stop running and likes a tackle. Monty II anyone? ;)

We did eventually get Rush.

Maybe the running and tackling part, but you'd never confuse Monty with a player good enough for the premiership :D
