Buzzing about Brewdog, but this is a complete non-goer surely

No chance we can afford him

The rumours from twitter are from a completely bollocks and fabricated twitter "ITK" account

And the odds have only gone to 3/1 presumably because of said shite account

Just had a message off one of my best mates who knows a mate of DBs and says it's a real goer!

Gobsmacked personally and obviously no guarantees as I don't know the source myself.

Oh, baby! I hope you’re right. 😍

Oh, baby! I hope you’re right. 😍

Me too.

Like I say I don't the person who's told my mate one iota but it pours a bit more petrol on the fire I suppose.

I'm seeing my mate later so I'll see if he can put some more meat on the bones.

I never expected the Berge deal to get done. At all. Foreign. Champions League experience. Young with huge potential.

But this is different. Wilder talking about him so openly. Brooks not coming on the pitch last night. Bournemouth being relegated and needing to save wages. DB knowing the club. I'd say this has more legs than the Berge deal especially as we could theoretically just loan him for the season with an option to buy as opposed to blow £40m now.

It was said other week that Ballmouth want 50m for Brooks, way out of our purse strings.

Reyt, Been up all neet tossing & turning wondering/dreaming about how it would even be possible. At first I thought nneeeeeeeoooww no chance BUT then started to put a few pieces together. First things first if he wants to go he wants to go which I'm sure he does cos he's way too good for Championship (That's why he left us in first place), Then apart from Man U it doesn't look as though any other clubs are in the market for him. If Man U get Sancho I imagine their interest stops there. Then price you say? Well I've read a few times that our sell on for Brooksy was a record sell on for us around 20% so if they're wanting 40 off Man U they'd owe us 8 of it so call it 32 minus anything else they owed us on the original deal....if we could get em down to 25-30m I wouldn't be absolutely shocked if we are in for him cos the Prince said it himself that he gives Wilder a budget but if a solid investment comes up in-between he will invest. He was on peanuts at our place and not on a massive whack at Bournemouth neither so wages wouldn't smash our structure to bits, Brooksy loves Wilder (who doesn't) and vice versa. I genuinely think this could be final piece to the jigsaw after Wilder banging on since end of last season what we need at the top of the pitch. Like a lot of Blades have been saying it's all good n well having strikers but we need creativity too. Anyway like I say at first I was the same and thought no fucking way are we getting Brooksy back but I dunno....it just feels so us at minute to go and bring him home. After all that I reckon it could just be that I'm doing the sober October and couldn't get to sleep cos of the lack of ale
No wonder you can’t sleep with all that spinning around in your head !

He was on £50k a week last year but has probably had a wage cut of up to 50% with relegation.
Therefore he is affordable as a loan or possibly a loan to buy for next years budget but not a full transfer this year after the Brewster deal
You don’t know for sure what he was on last season.

You don’t know if he’s had a wage cut with relegation, or if there was, what that amounts to.

You don’t know what our budget is.

Other than that, though, I trust your judgement about the situation implicitly.

While I'm firmly in the, this is a non-starter camp

That sort of figure could purely have been aimed at Man Utd for when they inevitably fail to bring in Sancho, a desperation transfer for them so they'd throw 50m at Bournemouth just to bring someone in

Although seems Man Utd are now looking at Dembele and Jovic, so maybe Brooks no longer on their radar and Bournemouth will have to bring their asking price down signficantly

Oh agree with you totally can't recall who they quoted 50m

With Bournemouth looking to bounce back a season loan is all they are likely to agree to unless they don’t think he is Prem material

I hope he does just to shut the fucking negative clowns up who moan about wages and flair players all the time 🙄

Please text him and ask him now. There’s some hysteria needs whipping up here!

It would have to be a loan, the lad seriously needs to prove his fitness.

I know nothing
I’m just stirring the gossip pot🤣
Whilst hoping it’s true🤔

Like everyone else I have no idea how much Brooks is valued at, we sold him for what 11/12 million? He has been suffering from injuries and has missed a fair amount of football, he is very talented but where do these figures in the press of £40 now £50? Million come from?

If these figures hadn't been mentioned and we were now showing interest how much do you think he would be worth?

For me it's around £20-25 million at best and even then for what he has done these last, what is it 2 years? to double what they paid for him?

I don't think anyone will be paying more than 25 million for him, if they do I hope its us at around £18 million

I dont think he leaves there perm right now. His injury record would put everyone off spendin 20 million +. Including the big big clubs. Either he stays and gets 20 games in before Jan. Or forced a loan move out to a club that'll give him games. Highly highly likely he stays at bmouth, but if he does go on loan...

Interestingly transfer market have him valued at £18m only🤔

might be wrong here but I’m certain I’ve read elsewhere that Bournemouth didn’t have relegation clauses in their players contracts

He's a proper sick note.. Would be crazy to sign him on anything other than a loan.
I'd also say if anything his price should have dropped from what we sold him for. He's done nothing.
