Unless a signing is already in the building....
He's behind the curtain !!!!Unless a signing is already in the building....
Why on earth would he want to stay in the Championship? If they keep him it's probably only because he only has a few months until the next window and so he's in less of a rush than any normal season. It was a bit ridiculous to have thought Brooks was on his way back.
Why on earth would they loan him out?
To make it a permanent move it would have cost about £40-50m.
We couldn't even afford cover for O'Connell after the Brewster signing.
Why? What’s this obsession with just bringing anyone in for the sake of it?Not interested in hearing any excuses from the club this is ridiculous.
Sorry, I don't see how he was an option given that he never played.Letting Luke Freeman out has deff weakened our midfield/attacking options.
He never played because Fleck was firing - now he isn't. Freeman didn't play badly when he did get a chance.Sorry, I don't see how he was an option given that he never played.
He never played because his favoured position didn’t have room in our formation. Wilder said as much.He never played because Fleck was firing - now he isn't. Freeman didn't play badly when he did get a chance.
Well Wilder knew what our formation was so why sign him in the first place...very strange...it was like Ricky Holmes mark2 both appeared to have what we were crying out for, most of us viewed them as good signings at the time and both barely played a gameHe never played because his favoured position didn’t have room in our formation. Perhaps it was CW buying very good footballers, and hoping/expecting they would be able to adapt to our system, but soon realising after spending time on the training ground and in matches that they didn't quite fit the remit.Well Wilder knew what our formation was so why sign him in the first place...very strange...it was like Ricky Holmes mark2 both appeared to have what we were crying out for, most of us viewed them as good signings at the time and both barely played a game
Also he’s said in past interviews about C. Robinson the initial plan last year was to play with two number tens so I imagine freeman was recruited to play in that system when we chose to play another way instead he didn’t fit hence the lack of game time. It could also explain why Osborn was recruited later in the window a very different type of left footed midfielder after our 3-5-2 formation was cemented as the one we were going with.Perhaps it was CW buying very good footballers, and hoping/expecting they would be able to adapt to our system, but soon realising after spending time on the training ground and in matches that they didn't quite fit the remit.

I don't actually believe this is a real source, but hey ho...

I can't believe you morons got your hopes up about this
I'd really got my hopes up. I'd say I'd got to 50/50 in my mind, i.e. pretty good chance.Just a bit of fun. Besides, after we sold Jags, every Window I hoped he'd come back. Eventually he did.
I didn’t fall for it at all...btw anyone want to buy a Brooks Home, Away, Third, Training Kit, Car sticker, Mug.....asking for a friendI'd really got my hopes up. I'd say I'd got to 50/50 in my mind, i.e. pretty good chance.

Some of our fans need to give their heads a wobble and remember a few seasons ago when the last day of the transfer window was the one where we’d inevitable sell our best asset. We’ve come on since those days so to throw your toys out of the pram because we’ve not spent money we don’t need to on players who aren’t even guaranteed to make the first XI is just ridiculous.
We’ve just spent up to £23m on a new striker. You’re clearly just trolling now. Either that or about twelve.Prime example today we just dont have the quality in midfield/up top that will score the goals.
I thought we would have learned that we have to speculate to accumulate and add some quality.
If we do not stay up it will be down to poor management and the fact we have not added the right quality into our team because it is clear as day.

What’s your solution then? Easy to take pot shots and moan; what realistically can we do? And before you start, signing a crock like Wilshere or spending £40m+ on Brooks are not realistic solutions to the current predicament. And what? does not change the fact or first team has not improved on last season.
