There's a current Brooks thread too, but its about where to play him and how he fits into their starting 11 (a problem we'd have as well really) but very little about a transfer and ZERO about being linked with us.

Tbf Bournemouth have so few fans most of those posts are probably from last season.

They can't/won't force a player to stay if they want to leave. If there are no other bidders, we might be able to get a cheaper deal.

Err - I'm pretty sure you said "a no 10 like Brooks". My comment is that Brooks isn't a natural #10, plays better elsewhere and most importantly, CW hasn't started with a formation involving a #10 for some time now

Brooks is an amazing talent. He cannot stay at Bournemouth now they’ve been relegated surely! I hope we do go and get him, would hate it if another club came in for him and we missed the opportunity

Has he been getting much right recently? He says they aren't willing to loan him which does make sense to be honest, but with the window closing last night there's only 1 or 2 options in the Championship for that RCM role.
The LCB position too, but personally I don't see that as much of a priority.

Not many teams loan to a team a division up, it does happen but the lower league team usually caves because of a big pay day rather than purely to get a wage off their books.

God I hope this one comes off.

I'd love to see this, but definitely see LCB as a higher priority. I thought there had been talk of us waiving the sell on and / or outstanding debt for Brooks as part of the Ramsdale deal. This would explain why there is such a big gap between the reported amounts people claim the Ramsdale deal is worth. I could be completely wrong about this though.
