That looks like a clear stamp on the foot from that image and if so is a clear foul and some of our so called fans want to lay off the Lad.

We all know you don’t get a foul for staying on your feet, the game is fucking stupid in that respect.

Was this the one he was booked for? There were I think a couple where they looked a bit divey, one particularly so, and I suspect referees will have him marked down as having a bit of a reputation for it. It’s been a visible part of his game as early as the start he had vs Norwich. The frustrating thing is that he’s a good enough player not to have to resort to it, as evidenced by the fantastic goal that he scored on Saturday.

What we don’t see is Brooks going towards him rather than the ball to create the contact. Then the way he goes down would make Suarez proud.

Yes, that's the one where he got the booking.

Despite his good technique he seems to require a bit of space to be effective. When opponents get close to him he's easily outmuscled and he tends to hold on to the ball in the wrong situations. The match scenario vs Millwall wasn't great for him, as they scored early and dropped deep and prevented space for us in the last third.
