It looked like that to me, but it was the other side of the ground. He also had fallen to the ground earlier, which the ref didn't give a foul for. There have been other incidents in previous games. He doesn't want to get a reputation with ref's.

It wasn't a foul, but I don't think it was a dive either. Looked to me like his trailing foot caught the other player's foot and he went over.

Mebbe he just need’s ‘grounding’ a bit..sure he’ll sort it cause he’s got some talent, as seen with his goal...

Agreed, his decision making needs to improve and he does need to clap on a bit of weight. Sure all this is being addressed as we speak. I suppose this is the difference between thos who make it and those who don't; how you handle these things.

He’ll make it/he’s made it...the thing that bugs me is that he’s been coached from being a young lad but still does the wrong things...to counter balance that, he can do stuff instincively that few footballers can do..it’s a puzzle for sure.

Hope they sort it and get the balance right.

It was a dive and really poor. If an opponent did that we would be lambasting him in here. He has gone to ground too much in recent weeks and often looks for fouls that are not fouls. Yesterday he scored a wonder goal but was given a big opportunity (90 mins) and did not take it. He made poor choices, gave the ball away and 2nd half when it went 2-1 was completely anonymous. A great talent but if he plays like that he will be on the bench more than starting.

So we shouldn't complain when opposition players do the same against us? Having said that it frustrates me when contact is made, the player manages to stay on his feet and the ref doesn't give anything (as happened in the Arsenal v Man Utd game when Arsenal were denied a penalty).

I give you “intent”. Sometimes you don’t even have to touch someone to concede fouls.

And yes, it is bollocks. But play the game. We would rightly lambast opponents for it. But you know what, this club has had a soft underbelly for a lot longer than it should have. If you can’t beat em....

They didn't get a penalty for clear contact yesterday. It was against Manchester United though!
