Darren Fletcher 5 Live on Billy Sharp assault

I was driving back from London and listened to bits of 5 live. It is utter shite. Fletcher thinks he is some kind of comedy genius. That show is contrived crap. Premier league obsessed, you would barely have known an important game was being played last night because it wasn't one of their precious big prem clubs.

The Sports reports during the afternoon banged on about Pep and the game on Sunday and the Women's qualification games. Summed up the shite state of football reporting in the mainstream media.

I went back to podcasts and some real people talking sense.

It's a shame because 5 Live used to be a great listen. Like a lot of football content, it's so banal now.

How Darren Fletcher brown noses ex and current sportsmen with his matey bollocks desperately trying to be one of the lads (bad enough with football but on cricket and the NFL he's f***ing embarrassing) makes me f***ing itch, what an absolute bellend.

There's always 2 sides to a story though so in the nature of balance, I have a mate who works with him at the BBC....oh no that's right, he says he's a c**t n'all.

Talk sport is a lot better, although with the amount of adverts for vans, I almost feel obliged to buy one.

They were shite too last night. Spent half an hour takking about the Southampton disallowed goal and barely a mention of the other game just finished.

Worse thing on 5live is 'Statman Dave'. Who wants to listen to anyone with 'Statman' as their nickname?
