Blackburn away at Leicester in the cup Tuesday, will they go strong or rest players , with us at home on the Saturday , and will we follow suit on Wednesday

Jebbo and sharp upfront. Doyle and McAtee can play. Is Clark injured again if not get him in. Ozzy for lowe bash for Bogle.

And we'll still win 😉

Just go for it I reckon. No worries if we lose (but could do without any injuries) but the chance for a bit of momentum and a nice boost if we put in a decent performance with the pressure off.

And there's hardly anyone to fear left in it. If we manage to beat Spurs (and I don't see why not) who knows how far we could go? Man City and Man Utd could draw each other- a pretty decent chance a different club get to the Final this year, why not us?

Put kids out we’re never in a million years going to win the cup even if we be spurs. With the luck we’ve had with injury’s we can’t gamble on any of the first team squad players taking a knock. Fuck the cup rest the team and get them ready for Blackburn Saturday for what will be another massive game UTB

Wednesday night kick off followed by a lunchtime kick off Saturday. Fully expecting 10/11 changes.
Davies,Basham,Sharp,Jebbo,Doyle,McAtee, Baldock,Osborn,Clark will start i reckon. If Anel is suspended for Blackburn he will as well i suspect

No brainer league more important. PH already said the players were affected by having to play again at 12.30 on a Saturday morning at the Wall after less than 2.5 days rest. Add in the possibility of extra time and we should rest as many of the starting eleven as possible.

Team

Davies
Baldock Basham Anel Clark Osborn
Doyle Coulibaly Mcatee
Sharp Jebbinson.

Still a strong side. Fleck to come off the bench to give him some more minutes and possibly Robinson for Clark if he can't last the full 90. Ditto Bogle for Baldock. 10 players rested. Only Basham likely to start at Blackburn due to Anels suspension.

What I was actually getting at was more how Blackburn are going to face the cup and will ,Blackburns approach influence heckingbottoms ? if they go strong at Leicester, do we do the same or rest players for the Saturday? Similarly if they rest players Tuesday do we follow suit

Rest as many as possible it don’t mean owt premier league money is more important

Everyone thought we'd rest Ndiaye, Egan etc in the Third Round away at Millwall. But Hecky played them both in a strong line up. Spurs at home live on BBC One. I think we'll go for it. And rightly so.
For Millwall, from memory, we had a week off before and after. It was just another game. And it made more sense to play players than rest them. This is totally different with six games in 18 days. Rest the nippers. We're going to need everyone. I say let the lasses have a go.

I would definitely make about 6 changes for Spurs, Blackburn much more important game
Fods
Anel
Basham
Robinson or Clark
Osborn
Bogle
Norwood
Fleck
Mcteer or Doyle
Sharp
Jebbisom

Make 5 changes in 2nd half on 70 minutes
That lot should easily beat Spurs

Play Clark and Coulibaly etc. Have young lads on the bench. Avoid using any that we want involved at Blackburn. I can see Robinson getting sent off against spurs and not worth the risk. They'll be too quick and he's currently doing well so we can't be losing anymore players to suspension or injury.

Play the youngones, mixed with some benchers we,d still give it a go

Rest the vast majority of the team that started today and get some minutes in legs for those who need it.

If Stevens isn't fit then stick Ozzy in at LWB.

It's essentially a shot to nothing, and I couldn't care less if we go through, but I suspect PH will want to have a go with a competitive team.

…………………..… Davis..................................

Baldock……Bash.....Anel…..Clark…....Stevens

………McAtee….…Coulibaly…….Fleck...……

………………Sharp…………..Jebbo.................

As others have said. Getting a draw/win at Blackburn hugely supercedes the Spurs game. Go for it with Jebbo and Sharp. Anel as he's ineligible at Ewood. Managing to beat Spurs would be great but 3 points at Blackburn I'd take a battering in the cup. We should look to enjoy this one. play with complete freedom with no comeback.

I can see your point, also Blackburn have got back into the Play-Offs / 2nd Spot only 2pts behind Middlesbrough.
Leicester are a decent side, so it will be interesting to see how Blackburn set up - they are showing their cards before us.
But I think Hecky will have already made a decision about how to set up (strong / weak) before we get to see Blackburn.
I'd love to have a go, but we absolutely need to get promotion this season.

I don't think there is much chance of extra time, penalties maybe ;)

The Spurs game is a good chance to use some of our experienced players, like Fleck, Stevens etc, alongside the likes of Coulibally, McAtee and Doyle.
Also useful to rest the likes of Ndiaye, McBurnie, Berge and Norwood for league duties.
Ndiaye won’t like it, but his contribution in league games is so important.
