Right so I agree that Zaha, in principle, should not be sent off for that. But in the modern game, with VAR etc, I thought raising a hand to someone's face like that was an automatic red card?

I’d say it was more a shove on the side/rear of the head area? The Ref has probably kept him on to help us out, as Zaha is sitting down so often, it allows us to regroup!
