We have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot game on game out! 2 again last night ! until we do that results wont
Change for the better.
What kind of set up did we have for the first goal! 2 defenders going for the ball, with them and the Coventry player all ending on the turf with no one getting aby purchase on the ball.

Tanganga right sided defender attacking a throw in with Mccallam who is a left side defender what was the set up! Organisation just not there
Zone or man for man ! Which ever ! we messed up big time with a runner charging in unaposed.
2nd one is just a goalkeeping mistake
end of ! teams in general dont seem to have a man on the back post at corners conceding a goal this way brings back that old chestnut of Putting a man there.

Coventry are the model to follow. They’ve built their squad up over time that are now gelling and will end up promoted (eventhough I think they’re distinctly average). They’ve not had to rely on the loan market either. We seem to have a full squad rebuild every summer and it just leads to no continuity at all. Pathetic.

Derby weren't a stable club? Consistently pushing for promotion with a top 6 budget for years, then really splashed the cash when he came in and scraped the play offs, finishing well beneath us and Leeds with a bigger budget. 74 points and scraping 6th, compared to 92. Mount, Tomori, Wilson and didn't even challenge top 2. Spent irresponsibly to give him that opportunity, went bust after as a result.

Managers don't last at Chelsea, but most win something and get sacked regardless. He didn't fail because he got sacked, they all do, he failed because he underachieved with the squad he had. Despite the transfer embargo, he had £100 million worth of players come in that summer that had signed in the January in anticipation of the ban, along with the biggest squad on earth.

Everton have been run poorly for years, but had a top half wage bill throughout those years. Spent £85 million and took them from 16th to 16th, plenty of time to turn that squad into a top half team and failed.

Doing a good job at Coventry, should never had got the job given his record. They have a top 6 budget, top 2 would be a great achievement despite benefitting from strangely weak performances from the parachute teams.
Funny how perceptions differ, isn’t it. I should imagine he got the Coventry job because the perceptions of their board are possibly more aligned with mine. I get the jealousy many fans have towards him because he is a very successful person, but I can tell you as a fact that he is regarded very highly within the football world, and not just because of his playing career. I’d be delighted to have him here.

Aye.

He's clearly very respected in the football world, it's why he keeps getting great jobs despite his record. I also assume he interviews well.

I see it similar to Kompany, who did a fantastic job at Burnley in winning the title, a poor job the season after, then got the Bayern job. He'd clearly not earnt it, but his reputation got him the job. Done alright so far though and assume the higher ups at Bayern know a lot more than me.

There are lots of ex players like that, including Rooney and Gerrard. Of course the name gets them the opportunity in the first place, but it then comes down to what they can make of it. After learning his trade at Derby, Lampard has quite clearly progressed. He is also particularly good at bringing through younger players which he had to do at Chelsea because despite how much it cost to assemble the squad he inherited it was horribly unbalanced and nothing could be done about it because of the embargo., Everton’s squad was also a complete car crash when he went there. Two clubs that had major issues behind the scenes.

The atmosphere from the Coventry fans last night was amazing 12th 13th man for there team.Stood in the away end I felt a touch sad that we cannot do that even when we were too of the league last season as they are this

agreed our home crowd have been woeful for the last 3 seasons most just seem to sit there waiting for the inevitable and as though their there simply because theyve paid their season ticket money oh for the lane atmosphere of 20 years ago know it doesnt help with what were seing on the pitch but its now when we need to stick together were in trouble and getting behind the team from kick off can only help us

Average? First half I agree as Lampard wanted to save Mason-Clark for Stoke as he is just back from injury. But the second half was plenty of pressure. It's just our goals came from mistakes.
