If we replaced Murphy with Byrne then I would be very happy.

However, I've just read that Murphy scored more goals last season alone than Byrne has in his career. This being the case, why would Byrne be worth more? Even we can't be that bad at negotiating, surely!

Byrne is an attacking right wing back, so I assume he has spent some of his game time actually defending.

Sorry but I think Byrne is class and performs way more consistently than Murphy.

He's a quality player IMO and I would snap at the chance of purchasing him.

Byrne seems to have been converted from his previous wing-back position into a forward this season. In his first game in his new position, he hits a hattrick!

Don't think we'd need worry too much about him not scoring goals.

In gutted, I thought he or Mawson would have been the ideal compliment to a more experienced partner at centre half.

While he's clearly not at Turner's level I would have prefered him due to his potential and hunger to play alongside Edgar, but perhaps it was never on the cards, especially if he's gone to Brighton.

Ah well, plenty more fish in the sea.
