Sounds like Adkins has well and truly fucked us by agreeing that clause in the contract for Hammond. Also this speaks to how much of a prick he really is by activating a clause despite knowing he's not wanted and will be transfer listed.

Other than that I've gotta say that this is exactly what we wanted. Not settling for offering players that could "Do a Job" like Flynn, McEverly, Bob Harris etc...

This is in exceptionally positive move and a big statement of intent in my opinion. Loving that we've transfer listed Woolford and Freeman.

Pleased that Flynn has been released. Bit like in election results that are crucial, the release of Flynn tells me that we are aiming for higher, and rightly so. Thought James Wallace was out of contract too. I know why Adkins talked about still being hamstrung by so many players still, although he's now left us with Hammond. I just cannot believe Hammond has decided to stay. Talk about wanting to make himself unpopualr and not giving a toss! Presumably we'll pay him off if he is still with us come August.

I can't think of the surprises that Wilder has talked about, when he mentioned about some that the fans think will think are going that are now going to stay, unless he meant Hammond. and he doesn't want him clearly. He's released or transferred almost everybody! Well done Chris! Great start, although I'm worried by how many players that he clearly wants to move on that we'll be left with, taking a fair wage packet. Pleased that McNulty is to be given another chance. That guy scores goals, end of.

Hammond thing is so bizarre and just so typically "Sheffield United" but other than that it's pretty much a dream retained list, we've not kept anyone who was out of contract besides Long (and rightly so) and also look to be actively moving on the rest of the wasters like Coutts and Woolford. Looking at the list of senior pros who are still presumably in Wilder's plans there's none of them who i've got any major issue with.

The positive is that Tufty appears to have fucked him off without kicking a ball. But surprised about Flynn but not the others.

McNulty not listed is the interesting one for me.
