Chris Wilder's message to the fans

Waitinbg for the WHF scripts to be made available. Has anyone seen him?

He's a Blade and I believe he knows enough about the club and the fans to restore some unity and pride to Sheffield United. I found him a breath of fresh air after listening to Nigelspeak for 11 months. At least we can expect Chris Wilder to tell it like it is and not try to be positive about everything, when clearly things were not right!

Time to get behind the guy....yes actions will be a lot more important than words but so far so good! UTB

Except Chris is one of us and stood alongside us on the terraces up and down the country. I'm sure all except the usual mouth breathers will cut him plenty of slack.

Adams and Warnock (at the end) weren't cut much slack. Both lifelong Blades.

I hate to say it, but Wilder's going to need to hit the ground running. He might be allowed a couple more losses than Adkins would have, but we need to be firmly in the promotion hunt by Christmas. No more seasons of transition.

Every time we change managers we enter into a period of transition.

He said "together" a good few times but he forgot to say "united together"

He also says "Saturday, Tuesday", "win games of football" and "pathway" in his full interview with Radio Sheffield that William Henry Foulkes may do a full summary of later I'm assuming:

What actually struck me was that Wilder's stated requirements and expectations aren't actually that dissimilar to Adkins's when he joined, though delivered without the standard Adkinsisms. Though obviously as we hear more of Wilder perhaps we'll see new and exciting repeated phrases. I'm hoping for one of them to be "pleased with another 3 points".

What difference does that make , zilch . He has respect because he is a blade , but so was Adams . Let's cut him a boat load of slack , but let's not have sentimental bollocks .

Let's hope the bloke doesn't divide our loyalty with the retained list . Good appointment but some of these twat players will get him the sack. Let's have clean sweep.

UTB.

I do like how they are all being positive and strong with everything at the moment though. Sacking done quickly, appointment done quickly, captain appointed quickly. All done very decisively and with purpose. Wilder also saying he's already working on the retained list for those out of contract and should be done shortly. What that club needs at the moment is decisive leadership.

Bish bash bosh....get things done. Strong foot forward.

Good solid third and fouth division manager.

It's what McCabe wants.

I think the guy is a breath of fresh air. I was always in favour of giving NA another season, but the last two games were so dire that I lost faith. Ever the eternal optimist, I am confident that the club will now finally get its act together and we can look forward to an exciting season.

I know football managers have to have more front than Blackpool pier , but it seems both Clough and Adkins talked themselves into the sack , with the adage that they were right and everybody else was wrong regarding recruitment and performances . You can be the biggest arrogant twat in the world , and shrut your booty if you are successful and winning . Neither Nigel wasn't , therefore should have been more humble.

This Wilder bloke putting aside all the I am a blade bollocks , seems grounded , calls a spade a spade . Says how it is , and will be a fast learner .

Good appointment and is at the same level as the club , which will help .

Finally I believe we have got it right , but let's hope he doesn't shoot himself in the foot with the retained list .
