As much I’d like to see change I do think Wilder will be staying.

Can a defender change his defensive minded spots? Who knows

I reckon the new owners will be desperate to see us in the Prem before parachute payments stop or drop so he Wilder will have to get things very right pre season.

Wilder said that their words meant a lot to him over the weekend. I can't see him going now given they gave him an extended contract only months ago.

I would guess that they don't feel the need to say they're fully behind the manager because they already have shown that via the contract extension. On the other hand who knows but I would be surprised myself if he left now.

It is actually a defining statement - very US business like. They have spelt out the ambition to take the club forward and to established in the top flight.

Again as per US Mgmt style - you won’t hear much more - but if we are not top 2 by Oct - the next statement will be a change of leadership / manager to drive the team forward to match the corporate ambition.

It’s a message of reassurance

Happy with their aim to make a number of improvements (apart from the stadium)

Happy with that

Doesn't really say anything of substance but it's positive that there's a statement in the first place.

Apart from stating their intentions, I'm not sure what 'Substance' people are looking for?
Would it make any sense to lay out our plans in detail for our rivals to pick over and find ways to counter?
Far better to let their actions do the talking from now on.
UTB!!!
A timeline and plans for Dore wouldn't exactly hand our rivals any sort of insider info. It's eventually going to come out.

It maybe largely corporate speak, but they have given us a manifesto to judge them by. Seems to me to be the right thing to do at this downbeat moment.
Yes it’s a clear message of ambition from our owners. Which they will be holding our manager to account to deliver. No cosy relationships with Prince A anymore.

Maybe it's ambiguous because they've not had a conversation with Wilder yet to see if he wants to stay or not and also what plans, budget, targets and expectations they have for next season.

It's difficult to accurately read anything into Wilders future from that statement but there is a lot of talk about modernising and changing how we recruit. Those things certainly don't sound like something Chris Wilder would be part of.
I hope they've improved the analytical approach though since those 2 lads they brought in last year were not exactly successful. One of them didn't even get registered in the end as far as I know.

I like the statement. If everyone could give an extra 10% next season (that includes everyone) the players, manager, backroom staff, tea lady, groundsman and of course the fans, perhaps we could miraculously get 10% more points. That would be over 100 points and guaranteed promotion. That needs to be our aim. Let’s do it.

The owners have let Chris do things his way this season since they have took charge, but i think it is obvious that they see things very differently as we look forward to the future. The owners couldn't rock the boat this season, they backed CW in January and did all they could - it would have been too risky to try and stamp their authority on the club in the middle of a largely successful season that for the most part looked as though we were going to get promoted.

Unfortunately for CW, failure to win promotion now means in my opinion things will be done the way the owners want things to be done. The January transfer window was a critical juncture in the season, five players in were brought in and four were either total flops or for some reason weren't selected. Only HC emerged with having any sort of impact on our season. January was the turning point in the season - while the addition of five players should have on paper propelled us to promotion it will now be looked back on as a failure. Paying £10 million for a striker has to get you promoted, not muster up just one goal.

The new owners will see recruitment as the biggest area they can impact on and an area we can improve as a club. It should hopefully be an exciting period as we embrace a new way of doing things, but in my view it will put them on a collision course with the manager.

As mentioned above, some people won't be happy unless the CEO is putting in a diagram of the kop pillars coming out and a picture of the new bogs.

It's says clearly, despite the disappointment, their ambition and plans to see us in the top tier haven't changed and they will continue to build the foundation of the club structure to make sure we get there and stay there long term.
