Message from the board

Sure beats the McCabe post-playoff defeat statements which usually said something like “we must now cut our cloth accordingly “.

Indeed.

I was just thinking too, that it makes a pleasant change to have a statement from the Board that actually suggests we have some ambition, stability and objectives. Ever since 2011, and perhaps even a couple of years before that, it has felt that everyone who has been in control in the Boardroom has constantly had one foot out of the door, and been ready to leave as soon as someone else would come along and take on the burden.

Feels like they haven't made a decision on Wilder so didn't want to mention him at all

The owners have let Chris do things his way this season since they have took charge, but i think it is obvious that they see things very differently as we look forward to the future. The owners couldn't rock the boat this season, they backed CW in January and did all they could - it would have been too risky to try and stamp their authority on the club in the middle of a largely successful season that for the most part looked as though we were going to get promoted.

Unfortunately for CW, failure to win promotion now means in my opinion things will be done the way the owners want things to be done. The January transfer window was a critical juncture in the season, five players in were brought in and four were either total flops or for some reason weren't selected. Only HC emerged with having any sort of impact on our season. January was the turning point in the season - while the addition of five players should have on paper propelled us to promotion it will now be looked back on as a failure. Paying £10 million for a striker has to get you promoted, not muster up just one goal.

The new owners will see recruitment as the biggest area they can impact on and an area we can improve as a club. It should hopefully be an exciting period as we embrace a new way of doing things, but in my view it will put them on a collision course with the manager.
Given the omission of naming, thanking or stating support for Wilder, and his comments about taking a break from football make me wonder if a conversation has already been had.

Perhaps something like you’ve suggested above. Maybe Wilder has gone away to think about whether he wants to work under new arrangements?!

Maybe this season, United won't be selling the jewels because they don't have to.
If players want to leave, that's a different matter.
More data and analytics for incomings than scouting about
watching live matches on cold, wet, Tuesday nights, hoping to find a gem.

Mention AI for transfers but no mention of wilder. Maybe they've told him going forward this is what they want to do and if he doesn't like it he can go? interesting

The “We will do this by continuing the forward thinking work we have already begun to address some of the foundations at the club that underpin our ability to succeed”

Can be read as 2 ways as it mentions the medical facilities etc which is a good thing however forward thinking means that Wilder to stay relevant to the club must embrace the boards methods

Hang on, wasn't Wilder the one who told Princeh last time round he wanted last say on transfers? And part of reason he left was that he didn't like the direction Prince were going?

How are Wilder and Knilly gonna get on when "data" tells them their 'ideas' are in the main not that clever? And suggests to Wilder a player that is teetotal? Who doesn't know his way round The Moor?

He will fucking combust.

My thoughts exactly

Can’t see the new owners being really thrilled if Wilder rocked up a meeting about signings with one name on his list like he did with the Prince when they were to discuss goalkeepers. It was Ramsdale or no one.

No way we can crack the 10 (TEN!) year deal that we signed with Compass!

We had to tie them down as I believe Gainsborough Trinity were sniffing around!
Said it before we need to build in the carpark for off game days too but having some form of fast food/catering that brings students and fans (on match days too) would be ideal. Most are looking for a sausage roll or a burger having a Greggs or a Burger King or similar would be more income for the club in rent and bring an atmosphere from the “fan zone”

"We want communication from the club"

Club communicate

"No not that communication"
I’ve run it through my prototype Acme-Crab corporate to blade converter.

Nah then Blades,

We’re sorry that Chris shat the bed tactically in the second half.

Our signings are going to be a lot more Football Manager 24, and a lot less throwing shit at a wall and hoping some sticks.

We will be buying the Banner Cross and turning it into a Premier shop. We are hoping this stops all the table dancing bollocks.

We’re all fookin gutted about the events of Saturday, but we as a board are committed to taking the club forward into “the best league in Europe” so that we can get butt fucked by VAR every week, patronised by the pundits (LOL at Lineker by the way) and hated by everyone as they spout hackneyed phrases that haven’t been relevant for 20 years.

As a gesture of goodwill, at the first league home game next season we will be serving free greasy chip butties.

Up the Blades

Do you think they will put tariffs on anyone complaining about the ticket office?

“I’ve been talking to The Crab, he’s a beautiful guy. Almost as beautiful as me.

He’s a visionary, a market leader. I can’t wait to show Melania all those solar dancing flowers he’s given me as a gift.

His VP Vern drove me and JD back to the airport. When I get back I need to talk to Hegseth on one of his rare sober moments and see if we can hook up some business with my beautiful friend The Crab. I love his ideas for his Guantanamo Bay packages.

He very graciously offered me one of his planes. I have placed it in my presidential library; literally as it turned out…

"We are all fired up to do that and confident in our plan to build a more modern and stronger club."

Does that mean we will have a more modern manager instead of the narcissist, stubborn one that's currently in charge?

Nothing about taking those pillars down on the Kop. Been giving me a bad neck since I was a kid. Surely can't be that difficult.

A positive statement of intent that does excite me.

However actions speak Lauder than words.

Let's hope we see those actions come to fruition.
