All it means is that Wilder doesn’t know what going on.
Would appear the Prince hasn’t spoken to him and probably McCabe hasn’t told him much either.

A manager should know what direction a club is going or hoping to become in the short and long term future.
For example, you can bet Wilder is already looking at new signings for next season but if he has no idea what the budget
Will be then he could be shopping in the wrong market and wasting his efforts.

He’s just letting it be known that he’s not letting him bother him whilst the season is in progress
But once the season is over I’m sure he’ll DEMAND to know what going on and want some re-assurances.

Think Wilder knows he has a certain amount of power himself. He’ll easily get another job if he fall out of favour with the owners.
If he doesn’t feel supported or is treated with disrespect then it’ll make him feel better and have more justification if he gets a better offer and decides to leave us.

I’ve said before Wilder loves Sheffield United, he lives in the area and wants to remain here.
When the day comes that he does leave SU, he wants to leave with his head held high and his great reputation in tact.

If only we'd signed Darren Currie we'd have had a shoe in for 'The Magician's Nephew'!

Bugger it, let's do all the books!

"There was a boy called Colin Wanker, and he almost deserved it."

From the interview today and others previously it is highly probable if not certain that CW has not been updated by either of the owners of the situation regarding the ownership going forward.

Whatever the outcome this is crass naivety at best or arrogant stupidity at worst by the Prince and KM.

Imagine you are a highly regarded and important employee of a company and there are talks of a takeover and the current owners reach out to you and keep you updated as to the situation throughout. How do you feel ? - great is how you feel and valued, if anything it increases your loyalty to the cause.

If you are not updated how do you feel ? - disappointed at best and affronted at worst and it is likely to decrease your loyalty.

If it was anybody but CW I would say that he may know and is not letting on however as it is CW we know he will be calling it straight.

Very very poor man management to date by the owners over this matter - we can only hope that CW's loyalty to the cause is less affected by the conflict than I for one fear he might be.

I wouldn't mind at all if Wilder walked away.

People are quick to forget how easy it was to have a piss and get a drink when we had a shit manager and shit players.

Less traffic, easier parking, easier to get away tickets.

Short memories some people of how good we had it.

Drawing on his interview when Northampton manager I don’t think our Chris is one to hold back if he feels that he, the players and the fans aren’t being treated with the dignity and respect we deserve .... expect fireworks

Well I heard his interview the other day where he was asked what was going on and he replied, ask that question of the right person - I'm not that person. And I think this was the right response whether he knows it all or absolutely nothing.

I'd guess he knows quite a lot about it. The fact he's saying nothing - he's a club employee - doesn't necessarily mean he's out of the loop. Maybe it's just to stop the media asking him about his future?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. It was the 2017/18 Championship season on S24SU....

Exactly. Lazy journalism from Shields he was quoting from Radio Pig interview today. Giddings was pressing Wilder to comment on the matter. CW said he didn't want to talk about it with important games coming up and would do so when the time was right in the future.

4.18 to 5.38 in interview clip below covers it.

Also to be fair , as there are 2 joint owners that might be trying to oust the other.

Then there’s only so much the Prince or McCabe could tell Wilder.
Also the Prince and McCabe might genuinely not know much until their dispute is sorted.

It’s possible Wilder has been kept in the loop but still isn’t sure what going to happen regards ownership.

So your original comment that all it meant was that Wilder didn't know anything......?

Quality. Bravo! :)

It’s semantics, he’s made a comment the other week that the owners haven’t spoke to him and he doesn’t know what’s going on.
Recently when asked about ownership he’s refused to talk about it, which could mean anything really.

But even if he has been kept in the loop, its still not a good situation because of the uncertainty.
Based on what he said last season you can bet that Wilder is already looking at future transfer targets,
Last season shows he likes to get his targets early in the season and the last few weeks and shown that we desperately need a high quality striker. If there’s ownership uncertainty then you would expect that Wilder won’t know his budget.
So if he’s looking for higher quality it could be a waste of time if the funds aren’t made available,

And meanwhile in a parallel universe - NW is making it all about him and complaining that the Princess and Cathy McCabe hasn't given him a new contract worth his standing.

Further proof that we have a manager who has his head screwed on.

Biggs confirming yet again what a complete fucking numpty he is.

As soon as I saw the headline I knew there was no way it'd be about anyone other than Bassett...
