Clearly Clough sees him as the best option available to us, he's been chasing him long enough. He's not prolific but perhaps he suits our style better than others. Not expecting him to score shedloads but his presence will hopefully allow others to find their form. Looking forward to seeing Baxter play in his best position behind O'Grady.

I don't quite get some people's thinking that because I don't rate O'Grady, I must expect us to sign Lionel Messi or similar.

O'Grady is no more exciting a signing than Higdon. I think because it's taken so long to convince him to come, people think he's better than he is and we've finally snagged "the one".

Have to agree with this. He's used to playing at this level, and has a distinctly average goals per game ratio so definitely not one to wet the bed over. Apparently he's strong, mobile and has a huge work rate........so did Nick Montgomery Pinchy (Everything football related was woeful though, I'll grant you that)

I think maybe the board's strategy is working on one or two. Starve us for so long and we'll end up being happy with owt.

Not an inspiring signing but a signing nevertheless, let's hope it works out.

Hes better than we have so thats an improvement, he will most definately be more mobile than Higdon saying that so is a snail
