Who doesn't love this guy?

In 2005 he was working in McDonald's, three years later he was scything down Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now he's closing in on 200 league appearances for the Blades with cult legend status firmly secured.

Keep up the good work Christopher, we all love you.

❤❤❤

We're lucky to have a number of club legends at the moment who aren't just heroes for always trying hard and staying for a long time, but for being excellent players. Chris Basham sometimes runs like he's only had legs for 5 minutes but it belies his touch and ability to get past a man and drive us forward, and that's not even his main job, which he also does excellently.

Not enough good words to say about him.

Basham to me is just what a Blade is all about. Dedication, determination and a willingness to ‘die for the cause’. He is to me in the same cast as Ooh Ahh, Cap’n Morgs, Eddie Colquhoun Eddie Colquhoun Eddie! et al. Differing skill levels and differing skill sets but an integral part of the Blades Machine as it does it’s work.

I LOVE THE MAN  :D

Before I appreciate Basham I need to know his view on the Madine situation.

Just get over it , I don’t like it but it’s where we are. Chris has deserved the right to have his cunt at our club. Now I’m not going to boo him or criticise him unjustly.
He’s now is a United player and I will supply him whilst he’s here, every person deserves a second chance let’s hope he uses his chance wisely.

Get over what? I'm not that bothered about the Madine signing. I think it's a bit silly but that's about it.

What are you going to supply him with? Is he on the gear as well as being a bit of a tail?

Is Fleck texting his agent over the Palace move??

Watch Bash when he comes on to the pitch, he always hops twice on his left leg as he crosses the touch line, it's like his lucky thing.

Great player for us, never gives up and never gives less than 100%.

I believe if Basham plays against Wednesday it will be his 200th league appearance for the Blades.

Christ

The man is a machine. Fit as a butchers dog, never say die attitude and a key part of our wonderfully unique way of playing the beautiful game.

Count me in as a paid up member of the Chris Basham appreciation society.

What the hell, let's go crazy and have the top league goal scorers this century too:

Billy Sharp 94
Ched Evans 42
James Beattie 34
Leon Clarke 29
Michael Brown 28
Richard Cresswell 27
Andy Gray 25
Peter Ndlovu 25
Carl Asaba 23

Have we just found Gary Madine's drug dealer?

One of the best things about Chris Basham is just how he's kept going. He's gone from a middling League One midfielder to a being an integral part of a top Championship side. And I'd bank on him making the transition to the Premier League too if we got there. He is absolutely perfect for our system. When Bournemouth rose to the Premier League, one of the great things was how many players from their teams in League One and the Championship stuck around and looked at home. I think Basham would be the same.
