Chris Basham Appreciation Thread

I believe if Basham plays on Wednesday it will be his 300th league appearance for the Blades.

It's not like our media to miss something like this but it looks like they might have here.

Bash is now on 301 League appearances for us (290 starts + 11 off the bench).

So his 300th was Peterborough.

One of my all-time favourite Blades, no doubt. Great achievement. 2 more years and he gets a testimonial, very possible. Assuming the 10-year thing still applies?

He should be in anyone’s list. Two promotions, two seasons at the top level, ridiculous consistency and commitment. Plus he’s genuinely fun to watch play.

Second only to Brian Deane in my list of all time contributors, impossible to separate from Sharp.

The lack of regular football isn't helping him at all but I have to agree. What a player and a true Blades legend but his pace has completely gone and every second touch seems to be a mistake. Will always get a hero's reception but his time is definitely up. Difficult to say but unfortunately the truth.

I though he was actually quite decent until around 50-60 minutes, but obviously lacking fitness near the end and partially at fault for at least the third goal.

Remember that time Bash was having a stinker on the right and moved him to the left during the game and he improved.. probably what's sticking in heckys mind.

Agreed, love Bash to bits but his reading of the game has dropped dramatically.
