No I can't compare them. And in turn I can't compare Maguire and Murphy to the likes of Walker and Jags. Why? Because our transfer policy is wank and people that defend it are wank and Che's "replacement" will be another step down

In my view some transfers I've agreed with, others not. For example I don't blame to club for selling Maguire and Murphy because they had spent a few seasons playing League One and were understandably looking to better themselves. I understood why we sold Naughton too for similar reasons, but I disagreed with Walker going too, he'd only played 6 games and we sold him for nowhere near we could have, had he stayed longer. I'll not debate all the transfers but in essence some seemed understandable, but plenty not. I think its harsh to say the fans who defend the clubs policy are wank, but I understand your frustrations. We all thought selling Slew was bad, but look at how that turned out! Of course had he stayed maybe he would have been a much better player now but I do think that the players themselves often move for the wrong reasons and then their career stutters. Blackman and Slew fit into that bracket, although Blackman recovered, Slew hasn't.

If we get £2m plus for Adams, who could still very much go either way then I think we can't blame the club for selling, knowing how Adams is now, not for what he might be in the future.

I think it was generally accepted that we got £10m for the two kyles. My understanding was it was heavily loaded in walkers favour. No way can I see it being £3m for walker and the remainder for naughton

Majority of money was for Naughton . Think it was £2m for Walker . Daniel Levy had our leg up with this deal . Another season at the lane and Walker would either have been worth nowt or £10m alone .

Che will go for either nowt or £2m> . Depends how desperate we are not how good we are.

How come everyone is always in a rush to want us to sell our best players when the price sounds right? I can never get my head around that way of thinking, it doesn't get reinvested properly and we end up sliding down the leagues... there's been 10 years of it. Do people just forget?

This club has never realised that selling your talented players means you in end up in the lower leagues. Putting that to one side, given the reality of the league we are in (i.e. must sell), anything less than £4million we should be telling them other clubs to do one.

It's bad enough selling your talent. It's criminal to do it for peanuts.

We haven't slid down the leagues solely because we've sold players, although it obviously has a negative effect in the short term. We've slid down the leagues, due to poor management appointments, poor recruitment and not always reinvesting when we have sold players. If we sell Che for £2m and he goes onto be crap then we'll all say great business by the club. On the other hand if he turns out to be decent then we'll slate the club!

Not in tonights Squad... Would suggest the sale is imminent? Unless he's injured...

Agree Booker 4.

It's not that we have slipped down the leagues solely because we've sold players . The main reason is that we haven't replaced the sold players with equal or better calibre quality. The replacements have just got worst over years .

All clubs are selling clubs . Southampton sell , but the money is invested in replacement . Ours is to keep the club afloat or pay for past mistakes.

Chr may go , but the time may be at Christmas . Clubs still seem a little unsure of him . If he gets his finger out he will get a big move and we will get big money . Also does the lad really want to leave .

If it's Bournemouth then it should be £3m up front plus add ons. They can afford that if they can find £15m for Jordon Ibe and £8m for Lewis Cook.

This is a good deal IF we go out and spend a small amount of the fee on another player with the potential to be as good as Adams. If we spend it on someone like James Hanson then it's more evidence that those at the top haven't got a clue.

It's not them at the top making player decisions , it's Wilder . The bloke knows what he I'd doing thank fuck , as nobody else at the lane does.

Every player has there price, but I would be gutted if Adams went.

Like others have said, he's one of few exciting players. I also think he'll be hard to replace, as it's rare to find a player with his pace and strength combined, with an eye for goal in the lower leagues.

As for his price? In my opinion we should be asking for £3m.

Lewis Walters?

The problem is that many of you are making two very dubious assumptions .......

a) we will sell him for an appropriately high fee
b) the proceeds will be made available to Tufty to build a promotion chasing squad

There is no past historical evidence to suggest that either of these assumptions will be correct, in fact there is much evidence to suggest that NEITHER of these assumptions will be correct .......

"Its the Blades way" ..... :tumbleweed:

I would be gutted if he goes.

McCabe may have given the impression of the Wilder regime being a new dawn but in my book its same old, same owd. Nowt has changed. Wilder is expected to cut the wage bill, reduce the squad, achieve promotion and all whilst working under the threat of losing his most promising youngsters and being given sod all for transfer fees and working largley with free transfers thus far. I don't trust McCabe at all, nowt's changed.
