If we did reach the play-offs, he'd certainly be good luck as he's been in teams promoted through them two years in a row.

The Athletic describes him as a natural leader but I can’t get to the rest of the article because I’m not subscribed

That's not a source that's a twitter account that just takes rumours it's seen elsewhere and claims them.
Fine another place mentioning it then.. whatever.

Reading the Bees forum, he got a hamstring injury around boxing day and hasn't played since.

They say he gives 100% in every game and made step up from league 2 to premier league surprisingly well and not looked out of place... However will never be first choice for them when all their CBs are injury free.

Right footed. 6’5 decent pace. Made his way up from non league but failed to establish himself at Scunthorpe.

Forged his reputation when joining Northampton and captained them to L2 promotion. From there, Brentford snapped him up but injuries and illness have made him a bit part player for them in the last two seasons.

Has played for them in the Premier League this season but seems surplus to requirements. Clearly needs games. Considered to be a talent but has been injury prone and hasn’t consistently played above L2.

But… clearly Brentford know a player and he’s used to playing in a back three. Needs minutes so won’t want to sit on our bench. Competition for Egan and Basham, presumably?

He’s 26 and Is under contract at Brentford until June 2024, and they have an option to extend it. So they clearly thought highly of the lad when signing him for around a £1 million.

Sounds like the bash cover/competition player we need

Perfect sort of loan signing IMO. He's a unit so will be useful in box boxes. Who knows - we may even score from another corner!

May as well bring back Lopata instead of signing another crock. Is the head of "recruitment" getting bungs from the physio to keep the treatment room nicely filled?

I wonder if JOC has any chance of returning this season? If we continue our form and sneak in the playoffs we'll have a strong squad.

We'll see when the updated squad lists come out in the next couple of weeks. Im not getting my hopes up though.
