Oh behave, no one is genuinely wishing her ill will. Thing is in football it's a short career, and as with any job its not all rosy.
I'd want to keep my missus happy too but a certain amount of disruption comes with the career and if you get involved with a footballer you have to accept that or accept it will affect his career and earnings.

Basic shit really. I wish him well whatever he decides to do.

Spot on. IF this is true then whilst I don't wish the girl any I'll feeling I also don't have a great deal of sympathy. Most of us have had to spend time away from family due to work, it sucks, actually it tears your heart out at times but I am afraid needs must.
At the end of the day she is with her husband and without sounding ridiculously old fashioned he should come first with regard to her family, just as she should to him. But there are times when work has to come before everything, as difficult as it feels, because it provides our living. He has a wonderful opportunity in front of him and making him chuck it away will only cause resentment in the long term.
I travel to London regularly with work, it takes me 2 hours from station to station . If things are really that bad then spend a few days a week down there to ease the transition. She can probably afford 1st class travel and it's not like she is travelling to Timbuktu and back.

Jeez, first world problems or what.

Stick a few plastic cows near where they live and take them round Park Square roundabout a few times and they will soon feel like they are back in Milton Keynes.

Hey... Do you mind Milton Keynes Cows are made of concrete not plastic.

Mind you that doesn't stop them from being moved around by young guns, just keep the council on their toes.

Doesn't really apply if you aren't desperate to stay in the job you are in.
Carruthers will still get a decent salary wherever he decides to go.
Maybe not quite as much success as he would get with us, but it's his choice.
If he wants to please his partner, its easier for a half decent pro footballer to do that.

Yes, if he is happy to just pick up a good league 1 salary and maybe flirt with promotion again then moving away won't cause him any long term problems. However he left that at MK to come to us because he wanted success. Wilder also thought he was a good fit with his ethos; hard working and hungry to kick on. I maintain that we will offer him much more than any Southern club he is likely to move to at this point. Then again Millwall could yet go up.

Still think he will regret it if he goes, happier wife or not.
