Word tonight is he's asked for a move back down south as the Mrs cannot settle here, would say BS but have heard several different people saying this. Hope not.
 



Easily solution then Samir. Dump her and get another one.

Be a real shame if he leaves but if he does I think we'll get Ricky Holmes in part exchange.

Would he really throw away this opportunity because his Mrs 'can't settle'? FFS...
 
Young player, great opportunity at a club moving forward yet he's under the thumb. What a shame, quality player.
 
Very,very disappointed if this is true. Have very,very high expectations of Samir.

And yes it always seems to be southerners who 'can't settle' up north and not vice versa.

Samir's surely got to put his career first here. Very important phase for him. And he's playing for a manager who can take him to another level as a player.
 
He needs first team football and the only way he'll get that is with a proper Wilder and Knill Preseason behind him
 
Family comes first (after he checks the train timetable - live in the south, work in Sheffield- simple).
 
I can understand and empathise with her, massive culture shock moving oop north, far easier to make the opposite move darn scarf. Shame if true tough, real potential in that lad.

It's that inbuilt sense of superiority that some seem to have I suppose. Mixing with the rough lot up north!!!
She needs to get a fucking grip and grow up if this is right. And he needs to have a word and tell her to put up or fuck off. I doubt very much she will seriously consider destroying her relationship with a potentially very wealthy footballer.
His career is but a few years, and she should have had some idea that the nature of his job is that he may end up moving about. If she doesn't like it then look for a bloke that has a more settled occupation. So deal with it, support him as I am sure he will be the main breadwinner and then when it's all done ey can move back south if they havent then realised it's actually better up here.

He's at a club going the right way, and a manager who can get the best from him. Be a bloody idiot to let one woman run the rule over something he will have worked for since he was a boy.
 
Carruthers is definitely very talented.

On the Charlton forum an ITK poster says he's heard that Ricky Holmes to Sheff Utd is a done deal.
They all say that Holmes has been easily their best player and is easily good enough to play in the Championship. They actually say as he's quite old (29 years old) then they wouldn't blame him jumping at the chance to join "a big club in a higher league".

Unlike the MK fans regards Carruthers the Charlton fans are very complementary about Ricky Holmes ability.

Wilder know Holmes really well, former Northampton player.
Karl Robinson knows Carruthers really well, former MK player.
Seems like a natural possibility of a swap deal.
Although I believe Holmes choose Charlton because he wanted to be near London.

Bang on.

I'd say to him that he's obviously got fantastic ability. But he's spent most of his time in L1. There must be a reason for that. Consistency, mentality, whatever.

What better chance is he going to get to improve himself? He won't find a club with more momentum, he won't find a better manager. Then there's the timing. He's at an age where it could be his last chance to really kick on, or where he could just sink into a comfort zone and not fulfil his potential. Important couple of years for him. I suggest he prioritises football rather than letting his current girlfriend make decisions for him.

Fuck knows how she could feel OK about being responsible for him throwing away such a good opportunity.

Hopefully this is all a waste of typing though and it's bullshit.

I know what a pain it is having to work away from home, when I was in the RAF they sent me to Cyprus what with the heat & spending my wages in the red light district it was hell, well looking back it wasn't all that bad.
