OK we might not have a full team on Saturday. But I've been thinking about the Youtube video when we played Nice. How brilliant was that commentary? Watching football on TV without any sound is really crap. However, how many times have we watched it on TV and the commentary team just winds you up? It literally spoils the game - and then having to listen to a biased "pundit" spouting even more crap - you lose the game and end up arguing with the pundit and it fucking winds you up.
But we need that commentator 'flow' - he gets excited when the ball is pushed forward, groans when a player skews it to the corner flag, and cheers with excitement when we score. Imagine if we didn't actually understand a word he was saying?
So, the Media Department at SUFC need to scour the earth for 46 commentary teams from 46 different countries to commentate on games this season. We would get the emotion of their commentary - and the dulcet tones of the biased pundit - but we wouldn't know what they were saying. It would drift into the background, and I wouldn't get so fucking annoyed at their bias, stupid and unwanted opinions - because I wouldn't know what they were saying.
But the different styles from each country would be really entertaining - South Korea, Nigeria, New Zealand or Spain - I would really enjoy that.
