Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)

and what if they don't get injured?... and lost 20.
So if Moore and Gilchrist are injured for any length of time, what are we doing then?
you're right - we should just have 11 players.and what if they don't get injured?
we can all play that game!

are you aware of his track record of availability over the last 4 years?Rhian Brewster beybee
Most of them were deadwood and loanees. Any key players on permanent contract we have lost?... and lost 20.
Is that what the "moaning brigade" are on about? or is it more because the squad is so paper thin? Most of them were deadwood and loanees. Any key players on permanent contract we have lost?
Is it really paper thin? Dont be silly! Is that what the "moaning brigade" are on about? or is it more because the squad is so paper thin?
I'm with you, Silent Blade - the majority of players that have left contributed next to nothing last season. Our starting 11 is up there with the best in the league, and we have one of the best youth academies, which has produced a number of players who are on the fringes and who will be fine if/when introduced to a team of first teamers. Some people think running a club is like Football Manager and get totally carried away with this deadline day nonsense that Sky invented.Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)
Ok, Moore gets injured, what's happening then - Brewster and Campbell, with Brewster expected to do nigh-on 90 minutes every week as there's just academy lads on the bench. Is it really paper thin? Dont be silly!
Besides those out of contract? Bogle is the big one imo. Most of them were deadwood and loanees. Any key players on permanent contract we have lost?
And both of these nowhere near ready for this level. Miles off it. Marsh also not a striker. One, Marsh
I dont rate him as a full back in a back four I think we are sticking to this season.Besides those out of contract? Bogle is the big one imo.
Campbell will have a good season if he is half as good as his dad.Ok, Moore gets injured, what's happening then - Brewster and Campbell, with Brewster expected to do nigh-on 90 minutes every week as there's just academy lads on the bench.
How long do you think Brewster would last doing that then?
Yes we've signed 10 and built a promising squad. Numbers in depth being thin though and we've lost what 12+ not mentioning the talent we've let go on a free over theater year or so. That being said we can't complain and are in a strong position for the season.Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)
Agreed. Injuries will play a massive factor this season. Thin on numbers imoIf we’d kept McBurnie then I would be happy as is. As it stands I think we’re short.
lol it’s a fact every squad suffers injuries. How many is the questionand what if they don't get injured?
we can all play that game!
In the system Wilder has now chosen as our main way of playing none of those are "hold the ball up strikers" like Moore so if he gets injured I guess it's plan BA lot will rest on Brewster, One, Marsh and Campbell. Far too much. The Christmas and new year period looks particularly treacherous.

About the only one that was a decent first teamer was Bogle, but like trusty, the money we got for him far outweighs his ability. We replaced Bogle with Seriki quicker than it took for the ink to dry and Leeds fans to ask for their money backMost of them were deadwood and loanees.
