Cant believe how the moaning brigade have forgotten that we signed 10 players in this window!

I wonder what Anel , Souza & Hamer will think of another relegation battle ?
Can you imagine their faces when we're settled in the bottom half ?
Just not enough quality in the striking dept to deliver many goals.
Burnley , Leeds , Sunderland , Watford will be uncatchable.
Strikes me there is no takeover and the Prince is not risking any expenditure
Another relegation battle? Are you serious?

No , but exaggerating to make a point.
I just think that Anel , Souza & Hamer will not be happy to have stayed if we end up struggling in mid-table and they are susceptible to problems of attitude.

Hopefully we manage till January because if we have injuries like under Hecky we will struggle.

5 players I reckon were short off.

Stunned we didn't use the loan options we have? I don't get why we didn't sign anybody.

we signed 10 new players but because of the mass exodus we could have done with 2 or 3 more . I see Burnley have signed 15 new players but they sold some big names which brought in big money so that made it easier for them ,we had no cash to speak of so it was bound to be a problem . At least we kept hold of our main assets so hopefully come January we will have new owners with a bit of cash to splash and we can complete our rebuild .

Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)
It takes 11 players to make a team

Who cares anyway . Going up with proper backing from Prince or new owners would be a disaster as last season . Stabilise and launch an attack on the prem in season 25/26

We are a bit light in areas but I don't mind it.

Necessity breeds invention and I'd rather that than have a bloated squad. I know there's an in-between but it's not always easy to strike a balance and as I say I'd rather this than the opposite.

McBurnie is a big loss, but maybe also the only one that feels like a loss at all.

We also have funds for the loan window and January if needed, when many others won't.

Loan window?

Eh? I have never been to Spain apart from Tenerife (which isnt mainland Spain) in 1991. I will be going to Seville at the end of October
Seville 😍

Think I've still got a list of tips on my phone. We had friends that lived there/grew up there.

It's a very young squad, reliant on a fair few players with less than 50 senior appearances at this level or above

Gilchrist, Burrows, Seriki, Sachdev, Arblaster, Brooks, Peck, Hampson, JRS, Marsh are all in that category. It's probably going to mean some inconsistent spells through the season.

Add in RND, Davies T and Brewster's inability to stay fit and we are left with a core of Cooper, Davies, Shackleton, Anel, Souttar, Robinson, McCallam, Hamer, O'Hare, Souza, Campbell and Moore to carry the team through any rough patches.

The spine of Cooper, Souttar, Arblaster, Hamer and Moore is a good one. But we are a couple of injuries away from tough sledding

I disagree.
I CAN believe they moaning. Have you seen the other bollocks they right? Nothing they say surprises me.

Quite a funny thread this. If you cut out all the name calling and passive aggression, majority of the ‘bed wetters’ and ‘happy clappers’ are basically saying the same thing:
1) First 11 is very strong. Top 6 quality at least.
2) Squad has some major gaps, especially up front, and were reliant on youngsters to step up.
3) Therefore we’ll probably be somewhere between 4th-8th at Xmas, and we’ll see what happens in the Jan window.

I think it’s all just about expectations. Personally, given the shit show of last year and where we were at the start of this window. I’d be very happy to be in and around the playoffs at Xmas, as long as we’re playing good football and showing signs of coming together as a team.
