Cant believe how the moaning brigade have forgotten that we signed 10 players in this window!

Most of them were deadwood and loanees. Any key players on permanent contract we have lost?
Is that what the "moaning brigade" are on about? or is it more because the squad is so paper thin?

Again, what are we doing in the event of injuries to players in CF, LW and RW roles?

Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)
I'm with you, Silent Blade - the majority of players that have left contributed next to nothing last season. Our starting 11 is up there with the best in the league, and we have one of the best youth academies, which has produced a number of players who are on the fringes and who will be fine if/when introduced to a team of first teamers. Some people think running a club is like Football Manager and get totally carried away with this deadline day nonsense that Sky invented.

This reminds me of how inflation has gone up over 20% since 2020 but the goverment are quoting only 2.3% from last year

Is it really paper thin? Dont be silly!
Ok, Moore gets injured, what's happening then - Brewster and Campbell, with Brewster expected to do nigh-on 90 minutes every week as there's just academy lads on the bench.
How long do you think Brewster would last doing that then?

Campbell will have a good season if he is half as good as his dad.

Yes we've signed 10 and built a promising squad. Numbers in depth being thin though and we've lost what 12+ not mentioning the talent we've let go on a free over theater year or so. That being said we can't complain and are in a strong position for the season.

Gk,s cooper/Davis/faxon
Rb,s Gilchrist, Shackleton, seriki
Cb,s anel, Souttar, RND,robbo (Gilchrist if needed)
Lb,s burrows, McCallum
Cm,s souza, blaster, peck (hamer/Shackleton when needed)

No doubt I've missed someone
On paper not a bad squad but short at centre half and centre forward
It all depends wether CW can get a tune out of them

I think we've missed a opportunity with mepham and billing

and what if they don't get injured?

we can all play that game!
lol it’s a fact every squad suffers injuries. How many is the question
You win promotion and remain competitive with a squad that has depth not just a good starting 11
I’m not sure shifting 20 players and bringing in 10 gives us that depth?
Shifting 20 players, raising funds from sales and receiving para payments, it’s not unreasonable to assume we would make a better fist of the window
I can only assume our owner or owners don’t think we need to?

If Brewster and Moore get injured we are left with One Campbell and Marsh 😂

You literally could not make the sh*t show up at the lane.

We tried but couldn't get it over the line same old same old is back.

No excuses they have had longer than a yo e else.

We have yet again shown we have learned nothing and run by short sighted fools.

The reality barring unexpected movement in the next few hours is somewhere in the middle.

A lot of change this summer means it's very difficult to build a full squad and hit the ground running.

Personally I'm happy with the signings made even though I'm less confident in the current team structure.

Patience was always going to be needed but I don't think it's unreasonable to be concerned about how light we currently are in certain key areas. I'll be genuinely shocked if we don't bring in another striker.

We're also still carrying a number of players with less than good injury records.

I think a key part of some people's frustrations is the ongoing uncertainty behind the scenes. Whilst there are varying rumours that intensify and dissipate, we're still none the wiser about when any takeover will go through, who the money men are, how much they have, and what their plans are.

About the only one that was a decent first teamer was Bogle, but like trusty, the money we got for him far outweighs his ability. We replaced Bogle with Seriki quicker than it took for the ink to dry and Leeds fans to ask for their money back
