The one where Campbell doesn't understand the offside rule.
I know, not my fault you can't understand my point.Threads about Cannon you whopper.
He played alright first half to be fairNo mate, just been noticing the bbc stats. Tonight was no different.
Don't normally go into players as it gets us nowhere but come on, he should be nowhere near the squad right now until hes knocked a few in for the 21s.
Created space, made some decent runs to take defenders out of the picture. Not always about what’s done with the ballCannon had 7 touches in his entire 69 minutes.

Haaland often has about 7 touches a game, doesn't make him any less world class.Created space, made some decent runs to take defenders out of the picture. Not always about what’s done with the ball
In fairness he does score 7 goals per game with those touches, but your point is validHaaland often has about 7 touches a game, doesn't make him any less world class.
If we created more than 3 shots like last night compared to Coventry's 12 we might see more from Cannon. I have seen a glimpse here and there of a decent run but there is nothing he can do if he doesn't get the chance or ball. Creatively we are poor, our goal was bizarrely from a set piece and a corner at that which is a rarity by most teams standards. O'Hare is our top scorer on 4, if Cannon was an average striker for goal ratio you would expect 5 or 6 by now, he is no way worth the £10mill splurge but I don't think we know his strengths and certainly don't play a formation that suits. Stansfield at Brum has scored 6 and he cost them £15mill. To avoid forum meltdown I am not going to say who is in 4th and 5th.Adam Davies was the worst player on the pitch. Then Ogbene. Absolutely nothing happened with him other than trying to run through players rather than round them.
Cannon looked an average striker. Which is probably the best he’s looked for us so far.
Sorry mate but that’s nonsenseHaaland often has about 7 touches a game, doesn't make him any less world class.

He had a decent 1st half tonight.
I turned off when Cov equalised, so can't say for the rest of the game.

The sad thing is neither of them would have that number back here, we don't create chances. Please, no-one quote XG which is a modern day football's equivalent of The Emperor's Clothes. If we created more than 3 shots like last night compared to Coventry's 12 we might see more from Cannon. Yes but how's that helping a good old whinge?Thought he was pretty good tonight and Tyrese should have been pulled rather than him.
It's such a low bar that if he runs about a bit and has a few touches, it's considered a good game for himHe played alright first half to be fair
Not really. It's such a low bar that if he runs about a bit and has a few touches, it's considered a good game for him
I didn’t know or count his touches, I just watched and saw he did alright.Of course it's not, but come on. You can't claim a striker has had a good game when he's had 7 touches in 69 minutes.
The problem is that we need much more than just ‘alright’ to get out of the mess that we’re in.I didn’t know or count his touches, I just watched and saw he did alright.
Yes and I agree with that. But the point was that the post I responded to just dismissed him as shit v Cov which wasn’t the case. The problem is that we need much more than just ‘alright’ to get out of the mess that we’re in.
The entire team as a collective needs to be playing better but for that to happen then individual performances across the pitch need to improve.
100% he should be 'busting a gut'.The problem is that we need much more than just ‘alright’ to get out of the mess that we’re in.

I totally agree with you mate. I don't normally 'go in' on our players but to me that was just another cowardly performance by Cannon. He's very good at running and hiding behind defenders where there's no chance he can get the ball. He half-heartedly goes for the ball, if you watch he moves towards the ball and backs out at the last second. Add to that his woeful touch and control and he's one of the neshest non-footballers I've ever seen.Did he have a good half?? He's never near the ball, he's weak and his runs consist of him hiding behind the defenders. Just watch him in the box, he's hiding. He contributes absolutely nothing and has no presence whatsoever. Looks like he has no confidence and / or has never looked like he wants to be here.
mcguinness and ogbene were worse than cannon at coventry and campbell wasnt far behind those 2 all 3 need benching for qprI totally agree with you mate. When he's on the pitch, we might as well be playing with ten men.
I even understand the folk who have said positive things about him, because we spent £10m on him and you want to believe there's a really good footballer in there. I'd be absolutely delighted if he turns it round, puts himself about and starts scoring, but I see no sign of that happening.
Yeh he was acceptable/ OK first half.
It was refreshing and quite weird to see him make runs into space and look as though he was bothered,
Second half he returned to type….hardly touched the ball and didn’t seem bothered. Altho many other players were the same for about 30 minutes.
