What upsets me the most is that we don’t look as though we practice much on the training ground. Remember the league 1 days when we had different set pieces for different positions aka AK masterclass. Just fucks me off cos we don’t score from open play so we have to become a side to score from set pieces... but we don’t.

Is it only me that’s had enough of this commentary team. Can tell it’s bottom of table and 2 unfashionable teams

The comments that really piss me off are

”They might lack quality but you know these 2 teams are the hardest working in the PL and make it tough”.

What a stupid totally inaccurate cliche.
Its Liverpool who are the hardest working team and they tend to make it tougher for the opposition than what we can manage.

Another lazy comment is when southern commentators compare us with Burnley....as though we have loads in common.
The only thing we have in common is we are both northern teams....and have fairly low budgets....both have loyal support.

However we are a much bigger club than Burnley....far bigger stadium, far bigger support and more years in the top flight.
Burnley are punching well above their weight....where as statistical facts show we should be playing at PL level.

Gotta be honest this is much more like last season, but still hugely frustrating.

We look better when a team decides to sit back. When a team decides to have a go we can’t match them (any of them)

Our MD is awful and they control the game.

We are stuck in a style of play that’s so fucking obvious to defend against.

We can’t pass it forward 5 yards in the final 3rd.

Our transition play is woeful we stop and reset at every stage.

shall I continue...???

Two positives :

1. Ramsdale has played well
2. Brewster has played well and actually had 2 (yes 2) shots on target in a team that creates absolutely fucking 0 for their strikers.

It is truly astonishing how fast these bunch of lads went from a fairy tale success story to the biggest losers to ever play in the Premier League.

Everything is so static when we are in possession.

Yeh......Burnley have made it hard.....putting so many men behind the ball.

Its like watching a training session....attack versus defence
BUT although Burnley have been negative....they’ve been really comfortable.

Burnley are doing to us....what we did to so many teams last season.
Go 1 goal up....then shut up shop.....it’s not pretty but very effective.

youve completely hit it on the head there weve got a 90% championship team and cant compete at this level but this is what happens when you havent got the finances to buy quality players or pay premier league salaries
Sorry, but this is fucking bullshit. We paid over £40m for a goalkeeper and a striker. That is more than some other teams have shelled out on two players. Granted, we’re not City or Chelsea, but the narrative that we can’t afford players is utterly wrong. We just waste the money on players who aren’t good enough.

In terms of wages, that’s bollocks too. By paying out a few more million per season, we could make far more than we lay out by staying in the division. I’m sure that our owner, as a businessman, understands this. The stubborn man in charge of the team is responsible for refusing to pay decent wages for the sake of ‘solidarity’, preferring to try to polish turds and failing magnificently.

These must be nice games for the opposition teams to play in... Kind of like practice matches where they can take it easy

Commentator just said 'its just not falling for them this season'!?!. Give that girl a golden star 😬

Burnley know how to break up the play. Constantly stopping play for those little fouls that never seem to go our way when our players are fouled- god we lack tempo though
