Burnley v Blackburn, what are you hoping for?

At least we know we are definitely going down a place today. I really can't see Blackburn maintaining their form, they looked so poor at Bramall Lane and I think they will fall away like last season. On that basis I am hoping for a Blackburn win.
 



Don't really mind too much, but agree with you all and would choose Blackburn if I had to. I really don't think they'll be near top 2 at the end of the season.
 
If you look at the game play stats and XG stats to date you'll see that Burnley are easily one of the best teams in this division.
Where as Blackburn are regularly not convincing and tend to scrape results where the opposition seem to miss chances against them.

My view is that Burnley will easily finish top 2 or 3
Where as I don't even think Blackburn will make the play-offs.
Also Ben Beriton-Diaz contract expires at the end of the season, so he can walk away for free.
Blackburn are currently hoping to negotiate a contract extension but as they won't know what division they'll be in they aren't going to offer him the big money he's get elsewhere. Also his value is decreasing all the time, so if they receive a bid for £10 million in Jan transfer window, it will be massively tempting.

Regards the match I'd prefer a draw or a Blackburn win.
 
I hope the whistle blows for kick off and all 22 players suddenly and mysteriously lose their genitals. Match abandoned as they need to investigate why there are now 22 sets of cock n' balls lying flaccid on the grass.

My money is on some sort of gypsy curse.
 
If you think both teams will continue to be promotion contenders at the end of the season, you say draw. If you think that one is running hotter than the sun and will fall away in the second half, you pick them to win.
 



Ideally, we want Blackburn to win fairly convincingly. Burnley are realistically our biggest competition so far.

Blackburn are massively over-performing, and I’m fairly confident that they’re not going to be able to sustain it over the rest of the season. Anything that can help take the wind out of Burnley’s sails is a bonus; and losing at home to their biggest rival could hopefully derail them a bit.
 
Rovers to win and nice if they can repeat what the Blades did to Burnley last Saturday @ BDTBL to worsen Burnley GD. Rover unlikely to get enough points away from home to get a top 2 place this season.
 
I'd prefer a gap between the play-offs. On the first week back, on the 10th, Blackburn play at 12pm, so if they beat Burnley, then Preston - they will be 4pts ahead of us when we kick-off.
Burnley play on Sunday 11th. So, my ideal scenario would be a Burnley win today, and Blackburn lose against Preston - if we beat Huddersfield we'll be top, 5pts clear of Blackburn in 3rd - with Burnley kicking off on Sunday in 2nd away at QPR.

Yes! Although my thinking is to be above the Play-Offs at the end of the season - I'd rather finish in 2nd 20 points behind Burnley than go into the last few games top but only 2pts clear of 3rd! But whatever I wish, won't affect the games in anyway! 😆

I don’t think it’s the most likely scenario but you certainly couldn’t rule it out.
