At least we know we are definitely going down a place today. I really can't see Blackburn maintaining their form, they looked so poor at Bramall Lane and I think they will fall away like last season. On that basis I am hoping for a Blackburn win.

It doesn't really matter much at this point, however if you look at it from purely us getting promoted, then if you assume Burnley are on average the best team in the league, then ideally a win for them against one of the current contenders would be better. However, if we're aiming for the top spot, then a draw or perhaps even a Blackburn win, assuming they will fall short anyway.

That is of course barring any scenarios involving flood, pestilence, extreme adverse weather or alien invasion.

My overriding thought is that we've blown both of these contenders away, scoring 8 goals combined.

If United had remained injury free, this match and any other Championship fixture for the rest of the season would be an irrelevance to us, because we'd be galloping away with it, that's the annoying part.
