They were the signings over the course of the season. The likes of Bothrooyd and Barkley arrived in September. Think Sidibe arrived in the autumn with the others coming later.

Yes but still used throughout the season, the most high profile 2 were with them from September. Still completely undermines your argument that it was largely the side that got them promoted that kept them up in the championship.

12 of their top 18 goalscorers for the season weren't there when they got promoted.

bear in mind they also struggled massively until December when some new arrivals like Helan, Lita etc. came in.
