He's lacking experience and maturity which will come.
Just glad he went to a small club like Bournemouth who won't be able to keep him when the big clubs come knocking.
Ramzsdale is there as well he is another that could bring us a bonus .Maguire went to Hull, better to sell to smallish clubs who can't stop the big clubs pinching them due to wages.Obviously we would like to keep them but if not that's the best way forward for us

I'm interested in your viewpoint. Brooks is 21 yrs of age, and has basically done the square root of FA so far in his career. For the purposes of our discussion, I consider the following 20 clubs to be 'big clubs', the 7 I've bolded i consider to be 'top table':

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs
Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma, Napoli
Bayern Munich, B Dortmund, Schalke
PSG
Real Madrid, Barcelona
, Atleti Madrid
Benfica, Porto

Which of these clubs (which didn't want him in 2017 & 2018), do you think will want him at anytime during the next 5 years due to what you think he will do for Bournemouth & Wales?

What role is he playing? I haven’t seen them at all.

Bournemouth generally line up 4-3-3 with full backs that push on.
Brooks plays on the right hand side of the front 3 - very similar to how Wales play him, and if you remember at the sty last season when he played down the right side after Duffy had come on and gave their left back a similar torrid time that he had also given to Hunt at RB.

UTB

Good goal by Brooks but what about Palace's equaliser! ?

A left back scoring with their right foot !(great finish also )

As I said my opinion is what it is so is yours the future will tell all

Can anyone explain why there's a lot of angst and hatred against Adams, yet some kind of love-in for Brooks ?

Adams never nutmegged a bang average Wednesday defender & then arsed up a relatively straightforward cross, after doing the hard work. Adams only scored twice against a top 5 prem side in a cup semi. That’s why.

By the time Alexander III of Macedon, was DB’s age he’d inherited his father’s crown, crossed the Hellespont with 35,000 men and began having a set to with the Persians, the most powerful empire on earth at the time. It took him another decade of battles and the conquering of the known world to gain the moniker ‘Great’. DB’s achieved it in 6 matches and 1 goal for Bournemouth, and he spent last night crying great salt tears because there is nothing left for him to achieve.

Brightly colored boots ✔️
Daft hair style ✔️
1st prem goal ✔️

God like status & over projection galore. He’s quickly moved from slightly built, promising youngster through to potentially one of the game’s greats. The fact is that if he was still at BDTBL he’d be warming the bench seems to have escaped peoples attention. :)

One knobhead wanted away from our shithole of a club, making it clear on social media. The other, thanked the club and its fans for what they'd done for him and wished us well.

The difference in attitude is borne out on the pitch. One is plodding along at a mediocre Championship side (and still not tracking back), while the other has just scored his first PL goal.

By the time his new leech came on the scene, DB wanted away as well. So did Saint Sunburn, lest there be any doubt.

Pinchy , dear Pinchy

That's as maybe but he left graciously and for that gets my warm regards. Maybe after you've knocked back a few more bottles of that cheap Bulgarian red, you'll offer him a gridging 'hurrumph'?

So did Saint Sunburn, lest there be any doubt.

HM gave us 134 games (inlcuding 9 goals). He hardly chucked his toys out to get a move at the first available opportunity. He was far too good for L1 and should have been an immediate regular at Hull, were it not for the nepotistic numpty that occupied the manager's chair there.

Any more spleen to vent today? I heard that Kyle Walker had designs on your wife, Matt Lowton called you a twat and Kyle Naughton shat in your flower bed. Surely these lads deserve some of your well intentioned prose?

What's DB's value these days? It was £20m on here although no one paid anywhere near it, so how much after that goal?

As for Adams, I march under Tyler's banner..........

Now there was a critic.

OK, devil's advocate as ever but Brooks seems to be a 'better lad', nut-megged a Wednesday player and got a better move therefore we treat them differently despite the fact both couldn't wait to get away as soon as they got a decent offer.

Jim, you're spot on. Retrospective invention is a given where departed talent is concerned. Of course Brooks is talented, why on earth would B'mouth have forked out the figure (some say £10mil, others say £12mil with add-ons) they did? The question is surely whether he can become a 'great' during his career, occasional glimpses of what's possible isn't the same as the level of consistency needed to convince those who doubt whether he can achieve this. Now, if he can score 10 goals a season on a par with our former player Lee Evans, now then you're talking. Seriously though, the lad, for that is what he still remains, will soon lose the tag of novice, and then he'll be expected to be a target for the likes of Barca, Real Madrid, Juve, Man City, and whoever else considers him worthy of their wonga.

The weird thing is, it's often decided, seemingly, by the manner of the move, not even what they achieved with us. Take Harry, still considered a hero by most on here yet Jags is some kind of pantomime villain, accused by many of costing us our place in the Prem despite close to 300 apps and a model professional throughout his time with us.

You are talking about the lunatic fringe. His @Pinchyness and a few other assorted alcoholics, bedwetters and nincompoops.

Most of us were glad to watch him at the Lane and go on to captain England.

That’s the Mildly Eccentric Fringe, I’ll have you know...

Anyways. Looked for Brooks' goal this morning, and ended up with ESPN Brasil on youtube.
Proper commentator - Crystal Palac-ee, and full on "GOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLL BREWX"

Suppose you've all seen it.

Although I might disguise it well I’ve no problem with acknowledging these players and their contributions.

It’s their sanctification and the associated fabrications such as loved the Blades, didn’t wanna go, forced out, destined to play for the Galaxy, shudda held out for £100 billion and all that sort of manifest bollocks that attracts my critical attention.

What I would add is that the nonsense that's surrounded Brooks isn't of his making. So, with that in mind we shouldn't concern ourselves with the limited views of those who have no inside source to back up their opinions. We had a relatively small opportunity to see Brooks play, sometimes he was outstanding, other times it made you wonder what the fuss was about. The best that we can hope for is that there's a sell on clause that gives us 20% of whatever gross amount he's sold for. With any luck that might exceed the original transfer fee that we sold him for.

Me fatha used to threaten to put the Kybosh on. I still don’t know what a Kybosh is or what it’s like when it’s on, but I suspect it’s better when it’s off?

I always assumed it was WWII slang so I was a little surprised to find it goes back to at least 1830:

"Attested since at least the 1830s in a variety of spellings such as kibbosh and kye-bosk,[1] of unclear origin. Proposals include:

Jeepers! Thanks for that!

Reight upset me nah knowing me fatha were threatening them things! Whipping I can understand, I used to get that regular, but bringing me into bondage!

Brooks has got more chance of playing for Liverpool first team than Woodburn.( See Woodburn thread)

Appreciate Woodburn has been really underwhelming in his 1 start and about 4 sub aprearances but it’s far too early to judge.
He’s much more highly rated in the game amongst experts than what Brooks was at the same age.

So how come you know more than 10,000’s of Liverpool fans and Jurgen Klopp?
Klopp would be laughing at your statement (see Woodburn thread)

After seeing the latest England squad I bet brooksy must regret picking Wales.

James Maddison, Mason Mount & Jadon Sancho have all been called up being rewarded for gaining regular 1st team minutes and taken their chance, surely Brooks would have been called up too?

Oh well at least he’ll have have summers off with Wales.
