It just shows how poorly our neighbours were run too. Did they have to be so bad?

Can’t help but feel if they’d have embraced a fee embargo not just this summer just gone but also the prior one they’d not have been so abject.

Rather than being seen as a punishment it might have just simplified their recruitment.

They hardly ever recruit freebies from bigger clubs. For example Brunt was so long ago.

No Ugbo. No daft money on Charles's loan. Sell Gassama and Musaba but as part of a strategy rather than already under distress.

The likes or Rohl also need criticism here. They’re supposedly smart people but totally ignore the need to self finance as a Championship club.

Being intelligent when it suits is the worse kind of intelligence from a club’s perspective.

Both Sheffield teams have recruited poorly of late. For some reason we at United seem to really struggle with decent sized cash outlays. Who was the last player we bought for good money and sold at a decent profit? Ahmedhodzic perhaps as a one off and his circumstances probably meant he didn’t reach peak value.
