A great battling performance.. right attitudes .. great effort .. I thought there was a 10 minute spell where we just whacked it anywhere and turned over possession but this time we calmed it down and kept control more which was pleasing to see

Fair play I didn’t see that coming, good 3 points!

I’d love to see the front 3 that ended the game (Donovan, Bamford, Oné) in front of a Phillips, Peck & Arblaster midfield.
I agree, sounds good on paper. But then again I reckon Wilder might know a little bit more than me about football, the opposition, his own squads fitness, abilities etc..

Experimental line up forced on him by Choudhury absence. Maybe it will be his stopping off at the offy moment. Taken some time but the winger inversions being shit might have actually sunk in.

Didn't watch the game, great result away from home and nice to see blaster back and getting a goal. Makes Saturday night good, doesn't change my take on wilder.

What is that twat Wilder doing, according to the brain deads that post on here say he's after a big pay off. FFS.
Battling performance, defence very good and special praise to Burrows who had a great comeback game. Phillips also excellent and Blaster much improved.
I'm not getting carried away though it was generally a poor quality game and Brizzie were shocking.
Chong was very wasteful and BBD seemed to want to pass it back most of the time. When he was more positive he put in some great balls.

Right-back is still an issue. Tanganga struggled mightily at times and it won't be much better with Coudhury back either. And it seems Doherty is a complete non-factor to begin with.

Seriki can't come back quick enough.

That would be my team. With Seriki in at the back it would be our 11 best players all starting.

Good win that and the lads played some good stuff at times. Felt we were worth a second goal. 👏

UTB.
Our first half dominance & approach play should have seen us 2 or 3 up at HT , but where we failed was carving out proper scoring chances.
Excellent displays by our CBs & Philips.
Second half ,
Wilder always wants to see my BP up to an unhealthy number before he recognises that the tide has turned and he needs to make the changes necessary to grab the initiative.
On another day , they equalise from our Alamo period.
But credit where it's due , once he reacted the lads saw out the game in a spirited manner.
"Mustn't grumble !"
There - I said it !
Must be the beta-blockers.

Shows I know Naff all.

Seen most of it by the pool but lots of buffing so did not see why McGuiness went off.

First 25 mins we were excellent, great fininsh for blaster and then some interceptions and headers. Ayew was impactfull with everyone contributing. We were never really the better team after that, apart from defence with Kitchin brilliant, McGuiness was excellent and brave. Burrow was a positive improvement and I like MCCallum.. Philips obviously made a difference and we held our own in midfield. Wilder far too late making the changes but when he did they all made a positive contribution for a change. As I say Kitchin Burrows and McGuiness MOMs and Cooper never had a save to make unless I missed it in the buffing.
You wanna watch yourself with that buffing by the pool - there's cameras everywhere these days ,
Even in Darlo leisure centre

You’re right in that on another day they could have snatched summat but a performance like that shows were getting up to speed a bit with some definite green shoots showing.

UTB.

Oh dear looks like you have something on your face. Might be egg .
Yawn..... BBD, Chong and Cannon were all poor. Ayew not much better.
Brizzie were really bad, comfortably the worst team we've played this season.
Hopefully Donovan, One and Bamford start next week

Just back home after a 45 minute drive from the ground and then three hours in the pub (left the car by the pub, will have a half hour walk in the morning back to the car). I think City could still be playing now and wouldn’t have scored, we were so solid defensively. Ball after ball was pumped into the box but City still managed one shot on target in 100+ minutes, and I think that may have even been before we scored.

My standout player however was Phillips. He was everywhere, showing the sort of performance that persuaded Man City to spend £50m on him. Our final position in the table this season is going to depend so much on how often he reaches those levels and how often he’s injured and not even on the pitch.

Great win on the road. Kalvin managed a hundred minutes and the ref today was like the coming of the anti Langford and didn't fall for any shit.

It's all good!

Thought the ref deserves particular praise. Not Blades tinted specs either, allowed the game to go, as much as he could, around all their niggly little Achilles kicks and theatrics.

Never really had issue with Bristol before but the way they tried to anti football yesterday was as frustrating as it was painful to watch. Shithouses.
