Plenty of spirit when under the cosh. Good to see.

After that first 1/4 it was pretty low quality, stop-start, scrappy football from both sides but there were definitely some positives.

Don’t feel like we were under too much pressure. I’m going to stab my eyes out with a fork if I ever have to watch Choudhury at right back again when Tanganga moving over and McGuiness slotting in was far better

Burrows did quite well after a long ish lay off. Used the ball better than McCallum does.

Blaster best he’s been since injury and looked decent next to Philips.

I really want to see us in a 433 with Donnovan and One either side of Bamford or Cannon with Peck, Blaster and Philips in midfield.

If we put in another negative, long ball performance today and inevitably lose, then the board have got to grow a pai

Waving the red and white flag now?
Shows I know Naff all.

Seen most of it by the pool but lots of buffing so did not see why McGuiness went off.

First 25 mins we were excellent, great fininsh for blaster and then some interceptions and headers. Ayew was impactfull with everyone contributing. We were never really the better team after that, apart from defence with Kitchin brilliant, McGuiness was excellent and brave. Burrow was a positive improvement and I like MCCallum.. Philips obviously made a difference and we held our own in midfield. Wilder far too late making the changes but when he did they all made a positive contribution for a change. As I say Kitchin Burrows and McGuiness MOMs and Cooper never had a save to make unless I missed it in the buffing.

nice to get 3 points. took advantage of Bristol city being poor in 1st half that was hugely surprising at how poor they were 1st half i expected far better

& i like how we were solid when they woke up in 2nd half & put us under pressure

Donavon & Onè have to start v derby

I may be in a minority but I’ve not seen Mcguiness have a poor game all season,he is a decent centre half at this level,it may be different with a nippy street wise centre forward.

Particularly delighted for McGuinness and Arblaster. Who doesn’t love a redemption arc.

Donovan can’t not be getting much more game time after that. Such an upgrade on BBD and Chong and was instrumental in us seeing it out relatively comfortably at the end.

Very pleasant watching a team that didn’t have Choudhury at RB. Let’s have much more of that, please.

Yeah im chuffed to bits for Blaster.

Not only was it a lovely goal that won the game he seemed more comforable covering the ground. Most of our good play went through him one way or another and he picked up a few interceptions and tackles in the middle too. He was a good foil for Philips.

McGuiness and Kitching were solid as a pair and Tanganga covered RB far better than Choudhury.
