Glad for him, he got in the perfect spot to tap it in.
I get the excitement about him and the goal but this still doesn't justify the fee we paid him.
Its a big win today and hopefully it gives us the confidence to see out the rest of the season and help us get automatic promotion.

Have a day off mate, he's worth every penny!

That goal might very well get us automatic promotion. Tap in or not it's crucial especially against them !

Credit where credit is due he's stepping up. Many of us have been pointing out the obvious (including me) during his time with us but most of us (including me) really want him to succeed too.

It would really be ironical if we kept Rhian all through his Barron years only to let him go and watch him shine elsewhere!!!! 😱😳😬

Then the story repeats its self though Cannon , I can see it coming, it’s the Sheffield United way !!

Is it? Which other players has that happened with?

To be fair, of all the possinle things to come out of this season, I didn't have Brewster as squad depth/competition for O'Hare's number 10 role. It's really pleasing and much needed depth. The role seems to better suit him too.

I have not been a fan of Rhian but having watched back a good few of our recent games I am beginning to appreciate what he is bringing to the team at last. CW obviously has seen it as he keeps playing him but not as a lone striker but linking up. The kid has been fantastic and has now started scoring as well. Hope we give him a new contract (as long as it's not silly money)

Developed a useful understanding of BBD & (particularly) Campbell's movements ahead of him, and able to execute good passes into them at speed.

The shirt's his to lose.
I'm absolutely made up for the lad.

... also, watching O'Hare charge around pressing tired defenders was a joy on Friday night and should've led to more goals.
I wouldn't be surprised if it reaps benefits against some of the weaker teams we have left to play.

Agree…it’s a fantastic story…..hero to zero and getting very close to being a hero again.
He was being ridiculed a few months ago because his best qualities was being “a cheerleader” sat on the subs bench.
To be fair…it was impressive and told you a lot about the man and his character when he’s crap but he’s still encouraging and cheering his team mates.
To be honest…..it’s that kind of strong character and team player I want to keep at the club…if possible.
Also when he’s struggled on the pitch out of form…he’s still committed giving full effort.

Since January he’s slowly improved from being crap to actually being kind of OK.
It was funny….when his supporters were bigging him up…just because he was no longer crap….it was true but he’d previously set such a low bar.

The Coventry game was his best performance in 4 years…..he actually showed a few signs of being a £20 million. He’s clearly on an upward trend and his confidence seems to be flowing and what makes him more valuable is that he’s versatile regards position, he plays in a midfield role but can still score goals.
His best role seems to be withdraw forward playing more in midfield with just 1 up top and he’s formed a great understanding with Campbell.

Everything looks so promising for him now and based on the Coventry game I’d offer him a contract.
He’s certainly someone (has McBurnie type qualities) who you want around the club, making it a more enjoyable environment for the players so they develop a close team spirit. However let’s not forget it’s only 1 game in 4 years where he’s looked a real player.
So I’m excited to see how he plays in our final 7 matches.

One thing that's stood out to me from this season about Brewster, is how much he has stepped up in terms of leadership both on and off the pitch. He seems to have matured over the summer and you see it on the pitch and in the training videos. He's constantly encouraging his team mates, constantly talking to them. When Binns and Campbell squared up in the first half, Brewster stepped in to defuse the situation. The boy has become a man.
