The brewster hate riles me no end. Young lad we were all desperate to sign, shown nothing but true love, respect and commitment to the blades.

People talk like the money the clubs spent on him is their own hard earned personal savings or something.

People really seem to have a vendetta against him for some reason. Me personally I enjoy watching him, think if his injury problems are behind him he can go from strength to strength.

People saying he isn't prem quality is laughable. Newsflash: we have got about 3 players who are prem quality.
I suggest you do what I do. Take a quick look at the posting histories of those dishing out the hate and move happily on, content in the knowledge that some opinions carry far less weight than others and can be ignored.

If he carries on playing well (or much better than he has managed so far in his United career), he stays injury free, then it would be silly not to offer him another deal. It would have to be much reduced in core salary from what he's on now, and probably more performance related in bonuses, but if it suited all parties on then why not. It would have to be weighted to the club though re salary and length of deal, probably with option in United's favour. If it suits all, and the club holds the cards then it's worth a deal. Then again, he might think sod that and want a new start without taking too much of salary decrease. So, it's very much up in the air. I hope he stays cos it means he's done well until the summer and agreed to our new terms.

A good lesson and I should do that in real life as well but just can't help myself from challenging people.

I don't know where to get the specific football inflation rate from, but if you take the UK general rate of inflation (RPI) of 2.8% for the last 28 years, then £1m becomes around £ 1.75m.

I'm not really sure what your argument is, but it mean 'today's Ebrell' cost around £ 39k per minute. I'll let you see that we have had better value out of Brewster.
No argument, just feel that £1m 28 years ago probably equates to £10/15m today,

With Moore back fit I genuinely can't see him making the bench. If Campbell starts then bench has plenty of midfield and forward options with Brooks, Davies, Choudhury, Diaz, Cannon, Moore. 3 other subs should be A Davies, Mccallum and Holding.

Here's a stat that shows how little Brewster has played this season.

It may show he's played 25 games. But Oli Arblaster has played more minutes so far this season and he's been injured for 3 months

Isn’t that part of the problem though?!

I’m definitely in the ‘let’s hope he does well for us for the rest of the season’ camp, however we have far better options with actual evidence of doing well recently and should be a long way down the pecking order. That said he’s been better than Cannon in the games they’ve both played since we signed Cannon so maybe he should be in front of him.

Depends who's arguing.

Some will say 2 goals in 25 games as the stick to hit him with.
He's played less than 11 full games spread over 25
It would be interesting to see how many games he’s actually been available for selection since he signed.

Potentially our best player tonight (yes I know it was a low bar)

Sublime assist and some other nice little touches to get us transitioning from defence into attack.
Did well supporting Campbell to put us 1-0 up.

Then Campbell has to come off so CW puts our two slowest strikers together with BBD mainly playing right wing and Brewster dropping back. How the fuck are we supposed to score a goal in that scenario. Even Gus seemed to sit back at 1-0 up.
