Great analysis, but raises a question from me.

What is your opinion of Moore? If you say Brewster needs to score 15, but is 1 behind Moore having played 1/3 of the games, do you need Moore to score 45?
Don’t we all ?!!!!

When you compare our forwards to the likes of Lath and Piroe, top scorers with auto/play-off rivals then apart from Campbell all are lacking in the goals department, Piroe gets a lot more 'involved' in the game, but Leeds are said to play more on the front foot than us (I've only seen them against us so can't comment really). Lath has less touches and is more akin to our strikers with his involvement, but he knows where the back of the net is, again Boro are classed as more 'attacking' than we are.
Loving the whole of the post but I have to pick up on this. You've called out Piroe and Latte Lath but that's not a fair comparison for Brewster. The comparison there should be with Campbell who has made the central striker berth his own, or Moore who was brought in to score the goals but has failed to do so.

Other than Piroe's 7, Leeds' goals are mainly coming from the attacking midfielders (Aaronson 5, Gnonto & James on 4, Ramazani 3). The next striker on the list for them is Mateo Joseph with 2 goals from 20 appearances (964 minutes so 0.19 goals per 90, not far off par with Moore). Patrick Bamford is (unsurprisingly) yet to score.

Boro's goalscoring is slightly different as they're rotating their 2 centre forwards. You've highlighted Latte Lath but he's actually behind Tommy Conway (8 from 16, 0.78 goals per 90) in their scoring charts. Their main attacking midfielder Azaz is next on the list with 6 then it's left winger Bugzorg with 3).

In short, all three sides' main source of goals is unsurprisingly their centre forward. Boro have two who are scoring regularly whereas Leeds and United have to spread the goals around as the backup strikers aren't netting as frequently.

Fair point, I just picked at random from a couple of other teams.

Apart from us I don’t watch the Championship, it’s boring in my opinion and a massive come down from the PL to watch as a neutral. I know some people love it but I find it crap to watch. So my ‘ball knowledge’ isn’t great.

Kieffer Meh for me.

I’ll admit that part of my disdain for Rhian is that he cost £22m and people keep insisting he’s good, despite the last 4 years of evidence.

Moore doesn’t bother me anywhere near as much yet. 10 goals from him would be ideal but it’s unlikely.

Blame the previous 14 years of Tory mismanagement of the economy and Johnson's stupid hard Brexit which no one voted for.

Or the ten years before that when Tony Blair's government failed to build enough prisons or hospitals, what he did build we are still paying for under PFI 25 years later.

My ball knowledge isn't great either. The pain of the married man.

Kieffer should be the first option off the bench or rotated in for the mid week game of a 3 game week. This was how he was used by Ipswich and Bournemouth.
It was at Cardiff in 20/21 he was the starting striker in most games.

The wife isn’t the issue, even the older 2 can entertain themselves, but the young one insists that what’s on the main tv in the living room has to be some inane kids tv show. I probably watch more matches at work on the 2pm kick offs here than I do at home.

More like a year or so's worth of evidence considering he has been injured on and off for 669 days with us which includes his latest absence.

Moore offers significantly more than Brewster and anyone suggesting otherwise is just lying. It's not even a debate surely.

Had a look back over his record for us. I think to a degree, he has been caught in the perfect storm. Absurdly high expectations due to a high transfer fee, being part of 2 extremely poor PL sides, and a horrific injury record.

2020/21: 30 appearances totalling 1,295 minutes, 14 starts, no goals. Heavily hampered by a team which fell apart at the seams, suffered due to no fans, and was realistically relegated by January.
2021/22: 16 appearances totalling 965 minutes, 11 starts, 4 goals. Started slowly under Slav, before scoring his first goal away at Blackburn in defeat. Seemed revived under Hecky, and had scored 2 in 4 games prior to a hamstring injury at Peterborough which ended his season prematurely.
2022/23: 17 appearances totalling 656 minutes, 6 starts, 1 goal, 1 assist. Failed to get going from the start, which led to the Ndiaye/McBurnie partnership becoming more favoured (justifiably). Did make a telling contribution from the bench at Swansea in assisting the winner, and a goal in defeat at Stoke. Would however pick up another hamstring injury at the end of October, missing the rest of the season.
2023/24: 14 appearances totalling 358 minutes, 3 starts, no goals. Was again part of a squad on a hiding to nowhere. Started the season injured, and came back in the midst of a run of 6 straight defeats. Further hamstring injuries cost him significant amounts of the season again.
2024/25 (so far): 16 appearances totalling 570 minutes, 6 starts, 1 goal, 1 assist. Has played 2nd fiddle to Moore and/or Campbell so far. Contributed an assist in his first league start of the season vs Luton. Missed several games with injury again. Came back at West Brom and looked rusty. Contributed well at Millwall and scored the winner. May have had a greater impact from the bench, but for our apparent tactic of suffocating games towards the end.

You have not mentioned THAT appearance at Wolves

You're giving Moore a pass because of his price tag (something he had no control over), but the main cause of your disdain for Brewster is his price tag (something he had no control over). Got it

He’s been at the club for 4 years and he can be judged on the entirety of it. Not being available for 75% of the time is part of the issue.

Let’s put it this way. IF we manage to get automatic promotion by having a one goal ‘for’ advantage over the 3rd place team, he would immediately been well worth every penny of the initial fee we payed for him.

If you discount every goal scored by every other player for the whole season, plus the saves made by the keeper and the tackles made defensively you’re 100% correct.

He's generally been good in his appearances from the bench this season (rusty display against WBA aside). He's doing enough to start more often, but obviously with his injury record, this type of role might be better for all concerned.
