That shite doesn't entirely ring true, no doubt at all he has gone elsewhere for more money than we were offering. He has rinsed us as a club for four years although not his fault he got injured a bit of loyalty would have been nice when the club stood by him. Still I guess he has to look after himself he could be injured again next week so probably best outcome for both parties. I wanted him to do well here but it was not to be, not going to lose any sleep over it, at the end of the day his time here has largely been a disaster.

Agyemang, Brewster and Morris could score a hatful for derby this season. They'll probably lose most games 6-3 but fun times!

For any Derby fans, here’s a précis of the ten phases of Rhian Brewster:

1, Signed
2, Out of depth
3, Relegated
4, Injured
5, Promoted
6, Injured
7, Relegated
8, Moved deep
9, Hillsborough!
10, Departed

Any questions, ask after class.

Apart from the obvious goal that he will be remembered for, there were countless times where he was frustrating with power straight at the keeper but only if he could have stayed fit and produces a few more like the beauty against Blackburn, I think we would have been in a different league.

Derby fans will be watching this and salivating, much as we did with his Swansea highlight reel.

But the thing with this one is it's a once-in-a-career kind of finish, and he's already scored it.

Got to 20k a week
He’s a millionaire anyway
Hope he succeeds for the town hall episode.
Good luck Rhian
Shame it didn’t work out all the best once a blade always a blade.
You didn’t decide the fee have a good un ⚔️

Shown his true colours.
The most expensive cheerleader in sports history.
He owed United big time, who paid him massive wages for 4 years, whilst he spent most of the time on the treatment table, and/or cheering from the stands.
When it came to the time to pay something back, he’s gone somewhere else for more money.
Off you trot/hobble.

Nailed it 👌 Fuck him with all this GLTTL
He's gone to a rival .....I hope he performs for them like he did for us ....

Think the change is best for him.

Think he could click somewhere else. Good luck. When he first joined he looked completely lost on the pitch and then injuries didn't help. After he got over them he was a perfectly fine championship player

I don’t think he’s rubbish. I also don’t think he was good enough for us (certainly not to justify the money we paid). But I think he’ll do well at Derby - he’ll get a confidence boost and will start to take his chances.
I've said this for the last four years but sadly it never came true. I'd be amazed if he starts scoring but wish him well, true he has been pretty abysmal for us but fair play to him - I believe in some ways he tried too hard and for certain tried 100%.

I don't particularly rate him but it's not his fault that he was injured or the bug wages which the club agreed. As for the view he should have shown us loyalty. Maybe but the offer from United was probably way below what he wanted and if he was offered more at Derby then I don't blame him for going there. You've also got to remember that Selles may well not have been bothered about him staying.

Personally I'm pleased he's not stayed but saying that he could do well at Derby if he plays in a system where he can be on the end of plenty of crosses.

I disagree but hey Ho

Does anyone know if that severence pay thing is legit. That if a free agent doesn't find a club in July he gets that month's pay from the club he's left. Is this what Brewster has done here? Steal one more months wage.

Sums him up if true ,funny how he's suddenly announced today......
He's raped this club if were being honest

Glttl. I hope he does well for Derby. He's been shown in the 10 shirt and I think that's what he wanted and fair play to him.

Hope he is (not seriously) injured for the home fixture against us. Just so he can take his usual seat 😁

Couldn’t care less about him signing for Derby,he was a total waste of space in his time here. Not his fault he was signed for an astronomical amount. His awareness, forward movement, shooting, passing, running the channel and positioning was up there with Higdon. He learnt nothing from Billy.

Hope not

If I left my job and after a month went back and said “ain’t found owt yet, can you pay me a months wages?”

Get laughed out of the gaff😂

Probably has a place in history, last blade to score against SWFC(1990)

He hasn’t stolen anything from us at any point. He has received what the club had contractually agreed to pay him. If anyone is to blame for anything its whichever idiot signed him.

I saw this at the time and noticed the look that Billy Sharp gave Brewster was of utter astonishment.

I share the sentiments of many on here. It's an absolute shame that he didn't live up to the hype surrounding his transfer and the fee involved. His injury record was poor and it seemed the harder he tried, the less he contributed.

I'm pleased he's found another club and wish him well except when he plays against The Blades.

Dont wish any harm to the lad, unlucky with injuries, but I've got to say he was utter shite! I've every confidence he will go down the pyramid of leagues, seen some poor players in my 60 years of watching utd, and he's not the worst but he's up there with the shite we've bought over a period of time. Liverpool certainly had a kecks down over him! Bit late i know but whoever it was what wanted to sign him, wanted his arse kicking!

We don't do very well when we spunk the money. Here's our top 10 transfer arrivals
  1. Brewster
  2. Berge
  3. Archer
  4. Ramsdale
  5. McBurnie
  6. Hamer
  7. Souza
  8. Cannon
  9. Mousset
  10. Robinson
I make that 7 Wilder signings and 3 Hecky signings.
2-1 to Hecky imo Hamer and Souza successful vs Berge

I wish Brester all the Best. Not his fault, he had all those injuries.
I prefer to remember him for the goal he scored against wendy in front of those shit houses on the rusty Kop.

Even without knowing him personally you can tell he’s a very nice lad worh an infectious enthusiasm. For that alone I wish him well.

His time here however was underwhelming. Plagued by injuries he must have been very frustrated.

Even though he was here 5 years it felt like he never really got going. He was either injured, recovering from injury, not up to speed or about to get injured.

For me his highlights were one spell around January a couple of years ago when he scored 3 in 6 and then we had to pull Jebbo back from loan, harming his development, because he got injured again.

He scored a brilliant goal against Blackburn and of course he’ll always have a derby winner to his name.

He had a great attitude and worked hard but the output wasn’t really there. As a striker he lacked anticipation and though he is a decent passer it’s difficult to know his best position because of the lack of consistent output.

Financially will go down as one of our poorest investment and whilst we enjoyed two top flight seasons under Christ it will go down as another big spent that created a big loss, to file alongside McBurnie, Mousset, Robinson, Burke and Freeman. You could even add Berge if you were being harsh as we probably lost 5-7m on him too.

None of this was Brewster’s fault of course and he did wind Wednesday fans up, which is always nice…
