Is the Bosman ruling a EU law If so could we get rid of it with Brexit

Itd depends what deal we strike with the EU on leaving. But I wouldn't get your hopes up

Bosman has put a chuff load of money in players' pockets (and agents' too), but it is fundamentally fairer than having employers retain influence over employees at the end of contracts.

[and something about United]

Why would you want to?

It’s not necessarily the Bosman rule that I’d be interested in getting rid of, but the rule that was linked to the Bosman rule at the time, the no limit on foreigners. No doubt the Premier League teams would oppose a limit on foreigners being imposed as it would harm their international marketability but a limit would be good for the English game overall. I wonder if there is scope for bringing in a limit in the divisions below the Prem.

There already is, in effect

(Although there's no English quota, per se, seven of the 18 players in a squad from 2018/19 have to have been registered with an English club for three seasons/36 months before they turn 21. Currently six)

The ability of players to leave their clubs for free once their contract has expired, is now enshrined in FIFA’s rule book. Brexit, whatever the outcome, will have no impact on that. Depending on negotiations though it may have impact in other ways.

Irrelevant.

Even if we signed a player next week on the Bosman rule, they wouldn’t be match fit until January anyway, by which time we’ll sign someone else.

So 11 of 18 can still be brought in from abroad. That’s barely a limit. I’d like to see that halved, to attempt to improve the national side.

the problem is PL clubs are owner by foreign billionaires.
they have no interest in creating a better side for England, they want their play thing to be better than the others play thing. So being forced to play Tammy Abraham, or spending £50mil on Morata is a no brainer.
one might be good and get you 10 goals, the other will get you 20 goals, flex your spending muscles and sell you £££££'s of shirts. And to be fair, Abrahavich is a supporter of Russian football, why would he want to help England?
the only way it will get better is if chairmen like McCabe get to the top, who have an element football in them, rather than suits who crave the kudos.

I have zero interest in improving any national side to the detrirment of clubs.

Davis Davis has actually said that this will happen and that he'll release a report on it tomorrow. Then he spoke to the media after the announcement and refuted all of that and said that "because the England national team are shit, he's going get rid of them with Brexit."
