Bolton Facing Admin

Why is their stadium so disliked? From a visual standpoint I much prefer it to the featureless bowls of Leicester, Soton and the like.

Not a Actually being in Bolton is a bit of downer for a Bolton fan, and being in the middle of nowehere is a bit of downer for everyone.

Unless something is sorted sharpish, it's not looking good for BWFC. The ever-worrying term 'deal in principle' is in there somewhere.

This can either create a siege mentality and strong togetherness amongst the players, or they'll jump ship, get sold or just go to shit.

I feel for clubs when this kind of thing happens, but I'm sick to death of being in this division and if a club getting dragged through the mud gifts us even the slightest advantage in the table, then so be it.

Plus I hate that shitty ground.

Thoughts on this?

I've voted No " I'm not worried about Bolton entering into administration."

Going there Sunday, heavily hungover for a difficult game in which the outcome doesn't even really matter. At around half-time I will begin to question life itself and why I spend money on stupid shit like this.
I could have written that. But it always matters.

I also voted No " I'm not worried about Bolton entering into administration." I did look for the LMFO emoji but couldn't find it.

Nothing to see here.
They won't go into Administration something will come up at the last minute.
For every club that does go into Administration you'll find 20 clubs that manage to avoid it.
Promotion is in our own hands Blades just let's concentrate on Walsall tomorrow night.

Tough on any supporters when this happens / looks like happening. I pray we never get into this kind of mess. Say what you like about KM but I don't see us ever going down this road with him still involved.

Other than that; I have to agree that if this gives us some kind of advantage then so be it. They really shouldn't have spunked as much cash away as they did. Of course the supporters will suffer but my sympathy is in limited supply these days and yes the Macron is an abomination. Burnden Park by comparison was an absolute gem.

When a team goes into admin you always hear the words "got to feel sorry for the fans".

But their owners gambled....lost....so gambled again....lost....so gambled again.
If they hadnt been gambling then they would have been in league 1 years ago.

A club like Coventry aren't gambling and are trying to cover their high expenses
But the fans dont like it. Their fans wnat them to go into admin, wipe off the debts and start again.

Most fans seem to encourage the idea of reckless gambling as it can be the fast track to success.
A few years ago Bournmouth spent money they couldn't afford and would have been in trouble if they hadn't got promoted. Now they are laughing awash with money in the PL

It never happens, at least not to someone where it would benefit us anyway! Some mug will come along and 'save'
them at the last minute

Too right, I don't believe there is a God either!

You know tyles I was feeling a bit low today then I read your post and I feel a lot better now, cheers pal I thought it was just me

HMMMM. Dysfunctional club run badly and beyond its means as it tried to keep up the the big boys, lies to its loyal suppliers and then reneges on its debts, while its supporters hail and approve the deal and re-write their clubs vile behaviour within days, convincing themselves that it was all a masterstroke of business acumen that their debt was cleared and not because innocent parties were left owing £millions.

Yes, I think I've seen it all before.

Two birds could be dealt with, with just the one stone here.
Maybe Dean Hammond could reserect his career with Bolton by buying them with his utd payoff windfall??
He could finally be wanted again.
Just an idea.

it is the plan to remove it . completely to give a vast interior to arn more dosh
its the common sense thing to do
Any idea whether it might be on for the close season if we get promoted?

Wouldn't make sense to wait till we're in the Prem to do it as we'd have to temp reduce capacity.

Plus since the plans were put forward McCabe has the back up of the Prince and several lucrative business deals have gone his way.

It wouldn't make sense to do it before we got to the PL. How else are we going to pay for it?

The Prince's backing taking the weight of McCabe plus McCabe's business deals bringing more spare cash his way like I said.

It wouldn't make sense to wait until we reach the PL imo.

Don't want to see clubs going into admin but it's about time something like this helped us.

Even if they avoid admin they'll still be walking a bit of a tightrope financially, so selling Clough (and not spending much at all to replace him) would seem very likely in January. Hopefully that's what happens.

And hopefully he'll come to us. And Morris.....

How much do you reckon it would cost then?

But as an away fan, where would you rather watch a match? In a modern stadium with a great view or a rust bucket with posts like Hillsborough?

In fact I'd love us to knock down the Kop and replace it with a stand that had no posts, a decent view and leg room.
Bolton upper tiers great view lower tiers shit view and they sell lower tier before upper tier nothing to commend Bolton.
