Amazing how everyone turns into some sort of valuation genius every time we're linked with spending money.

Just as an example. If Hull are actually wanting £18m for Hughes, we know they're not, then are saying that Thomas is less than half the player Hughes is?

Hull's valuation of Hughes doesn't impact Thomas's value in any way. He's either an £8m player or he isn't (he isn't).

OK. I don't agree but based on that theory then Hughes is either an £18m player or he isn't (he 100% definitely isn't).

The swivel and volley in the last minute in front of the packed out Railway End on that dry dusty pitch (Edwards had gone off injured also i think) truly a thing of beauty. They would do, but they've read the room and decided that rather than just decent, they need a track record that indicates will never be good enough for the next level, a physical profile of an NBA power forward, and being a "leader", whatever that means. These things slow everything down
